Take Over

Nixon: “Nobody currently doing a deal at the costs. Thats it. We are going round in circles here.”

Seems to imply in another tweet that new owners aren’t going to pay off all the debt, as was mentioned in court.

Don't think it's just WW tbf. In this day and age forums can be an afterthought to the immediate nature of Twitter and Facebook.

Just have a look at Sluffy's kingdom where all you have is the same half dozen people posting once or twice a week. No idea how the other ones are getting on.

Coincidentally I was talking about this place to a couple of fans yesterday one being my age and another in his twenties and neither had heard of WW. Suppose it depends where your tastes take you online.

True, I was looking for extreme porn & it led me here via Gonzo 😁

Surely the admin team can just delete pointless posts?

New members breathes fresh life into places. Its not a closed shop or members only environment.

I'm sure they've got better things to do.

Also, I'm not against new posters at all. It's just the repetition of the same questions that have previously been asked and answered.

But if new posters posting repetitive questions is killing the site - then surely there can't be anything more pressing than deleting them. And as we all know, the mods are just sat in their bedrooms in their off-white y-fronts, scratching their knackers.

Maybe the attention Howard gets on here has upset one or two, but there's always the "ignore" button if you don't like it.

No problem with the new posters, but perhaps it would be an idea for them to read the last 40 or so pages of this thread?

It might prevent the bloke/woman having to answer the same questions over and over.

In Howard we trust :D

FYI yesterday, David Beckham was registered at Companies House as a Director of Salford City FC Ltd and although the appointment was made at the beginning of the month, it was only received (electronically) yesterday. Absolutely no idea whether that means lazy administration, Salford panicking, confirmation that rumour of his interest in us is bollocks or something else.

Think it was more hopeful than likely. I'm not sure if that rules him out or not.

Howard mentioned some people like the spotlight and some like to quietly go about their business, in regard to it not leaking. I don't think Beckham would fall in to the latter if involved?

It does chime with a few narratives though, not least with the "Anderson pissing off potential investors with ridiculous demands" routine and the "having seen the books etc investors have walked" scenario. Time will tell. As regards Beckham though, his business partnership with Fuller has been shown to be astute, professional and very successful, so I don't think he'd be shooting his mouth off if there actually was any interest in the first place.

Yeah for me the fourfourtwo guy describing it as "amazing" makes me think someone like Beckham. If a random other club got investment from a sheikh or similar I'd not really care, definitely wouldn't say amazing. So for a Leeds fan to say that it makes you think it's someone famous/ unusual.

Or loaded. Or bullshit. Look how much interaction he got because of that tweet.

He then went on to basically say he won't give any details but also said he would DM someone about it cos they asked nicely. Doesn't make too much sense.

I'd like it to be Beckham/Fuller for a number of reasons, not least of which I have personal experience of him being "a good bloke", but whoever is still in the frame (if anyone still is) ultimately it comes down to Anderson doing a deal whilst he still holds the cards and the pressures on him to do so and unfortunately I suspect he would put his personal interest ahead of the club.

Fuller is an owner of Inter Miami, what a dog shit name that is by the way!!!. With him owning Inter Miami, would he be allowed to invest in BWFC? I read previously that the potential new owner has shares in another club and he/she/non binary was looking to sell them before they could move with this deal, is it a rule that he can't have shares in two clubs situated in Europe, meaning he could still own Inter Miami and BWFC at the same or is it a fifa rule? hypothetically speaking

That is what I thought because I think he also had Granada in Spain, but I am pretty sure I read previously that the new potential owner/s couldn't have shares in two clubs. Or could it be 2 clubs in the same country?

Same country.

Wouldn't worry about it though because it's probably bollocks and we won't find out what's really happening until next week, perhaps not even then.

Possibly, he also implied he wished he didn't bother with the replies he got. I doubt 442 needed the press.

The only mention of DM I can see is someone asking for clues, which people replied 'is that a hint or asking for a message?' So if there was something else I must have missed it.
