Take Over

Its become clearer after almost 24hrs without an update of any value from FV and co that they are not in the slightest interested in the football part of the club.

its going to be all about “what can we make from this” and nothing else.

As supporters we have done our part, and almost 4 games in spent our money on the football bit with zero return from the prospective new owners as to the completion date and future plans.

They dont care and are no different in reality to Anderson and the village idiot.

Starting to agree.

7 days ago since he posted this...

Despite a long and hugely complex process of negotiation, we were finally on the brink of completion this afternoon when Bassini’s order was served.

Our lawyers are now in conversation with Counsel in a bid to overturn the order immediately.

Lack. Of. Completion.  Look at the date this thread started! And do you seriously believe FV were so close to completion before Lozza intervened? Come on pull the other one.

Even if and its a massive sluffy sized post IF it ever happens its going to go through the day after the transfer window! We are destined to suffer!

Are these "not the slightest interested in the football part of the club" people the same ones who paid a non returnable £1m deposit to the Administrator in order to fund the club staying in existence and playing the 4 games (so far) you've spent your money on doing your part?

What utter indifferent bastards they are.

And who has that benefited ?, certainly not the football bit because its still falling apart.

And what of the fee for Connell, gate receipts for the 3 games played (limited)and money (possibly) from EFL etc.

Any decent business person will have a back up plan to limit losses, but £1million was to stop it all be liquidated wasn’t it and hasn’t gone near the team apart from clear long debts.

They have put zero into the football side up to now and show no interest in doing so.

The Otzumer/MacGennis thing has worried me a little - if we were on the brink of completion, players now being paid, new regime caring about the club - it would probably be in his best interests to stay at least a few more days to see how things pan out.   Worth a punt surely.

The fact that they're still fucking off on the eve of this glorious new dawn.... do they know something we don't?

This £1M is very much contentious, it has been mentioned multiple times to include monies put in previously by MJ (not least probably funded out of the interest garnered from the PBP loans) and nobody has confirmed its legal status (is it a drawing/loan from FVWL etc).

I will bite

how will it have been paid out of interest? Interest that hasn’t been paid for months? That same interest? Some going that eh to keep a club going on something that hasn’t been paid.

The £1m was "specifically for the purposes of future critical payments necessary for preparing the Club for the forthcoming season" (section 6.10 of the Administrators report) - such as sorting out Ticket Master so we can sell tickets again and paying match day staff so the stadium can play matches on, I assume.

Unless you are saying the Administrator has lied in his report?

We've all been told by the papers that Football Ventures' offer for the club involved money owed to players being deferred for 2 years. The footballers probably wouldn't be thrilled about that.

Does anyone know if the Budworth representing Bassini was the same Budworth that acted for McGill in the case against BWFC involving the signing of Gavin McCann in 2007?

The reported wording in the Beeno of representations made on behalf of Bassini set off my alarm bells. I'd expect them to have set Judge Eyre's alarm bells off too.

Jewish Telegraph (who were the first to announce the Bassini thing last week before anyone else) , have just put this breaking news up...

BREAKING: Laurence Bassini is closing in on purchasing Bolton Wanderers after a large number of creditors wrote to him saying they were unaware he was prepared to pay 100% of the debt. The JT's seen proof West Ham co-owner David Sullivan has underwritten £25m towards a takeover.
