EFL threat came from admins effectively who’ve had enough and wanted to draw a Line in the sand

If a deal gets done it’s through the tenacity of the admins and the perseverance of FV although they haven’t really got the fans on Board with the silence

twittermongs will blame the admins whatever the outcome

Seems reasonable.

Ken’s been on Talksport again speaking to his best mate Jim White, says the deal is back on table there in deep talks & expects a deal done tonight. He will speak to media after the deal is done. All load of shite again

Did u hear this or been told

Say what you like

That EFL threat has certainly thrown a grenade in.

May even be a positive outcome.

Which they’ll be smug as fuck about.

The EFL threat would have given us 14 days but Admin states they will commence liquidation immediately. If there is not enough money to last the 14 days then there would not have been money even without the EFL statement. Something stinks

I mean he’s best mates with Appleton but I’m inclined to agree with him

If you read my post above, you will have it confirmed

Unless MJ was telling lies and somebody went to the trouble of typing up press releases etc

I guess it really is FV or bust then. Don’t get where Nixon’s getting this second bidder from.

Further to my previous statement and to clarify absolutely the position, Football Ventures (Whites) Limited (FVWL) are the only bidder to have satisfied the full criteria of the sale process and that remains the position.

Despite persistent but false rumours in the media and on social media, FVWL are the only party to have met these criteria including, but not limited to, providing proof and source of funding and having satisfied the EFL's Owners and Directors Test throughout the Administration, dating back to May 13.

Smoke and mirrors

included within the full criteria

is "  the Highest Bid for the club "

Therefore they could only ever be the Only bidder to satisfy the criteria

This is a complete distortion to get a particular bid over the line

The Joint Administrators for Bolton Wanderers can confirm a preferred bidder for the club has been identified and notified of their successful offer.

Best and final offers were received from five parties by the 4pm deadline on Wednesday and, after careful consideration, it was clear the preferred bid met every criteria laid down by the Joint Administrators. These included, but were not limited to;

- The highest bid for the club

- Proof and source of significant funding

- Ability to fund the club for a minimum of two years

- Ability to satisfy secured, football and unsecured creditors

- EFL approval

The preferred bidder has also agreed to inject £1million into the club in order to fund the immediate running of the club and the rebuilding of the playing squad ahead of the new season.

Paul Appleton of David Rubin & Partners said: "I am delighted we have been able to reach a more than satisfactory outcome to this stage of the process and I am confident the preferred bidder has the ability to take Bolton Wanderers forward.

The point I am making is should the EFL not have made the statement then would the admin still have gone into liquidation Wednesday? Or more likely the administrators and the EFL are pushing this together

Pincer movement I would guess.

Which is idiot-ier, blaming admins or blaming fans for not going on Saturday?

There's so much he said, she said going around, but I can't see what Appleton has done (here and at Coventry) to inspire a huge amount of faith in what he says.

So, Benny. You think the admins are distorting the truth to get FV over the line for some reason?

Not telling the whole truth isn't the same as lying. Who knows really? Well apart from the admin themselves

I'm convinced EFL statement was as a result of FV pressure

Admin, maybe the same and there could be finds in the pot, but I'm going for our pockets being empty

What o would say is that of I was Anderson and I stood to be millions down, I'd be playing hard ball to reduce my losses

If I was a million or 2 up, I'd deal differently

I think there are a whole lot of people being economic with the truth and feeding us a version of events they want us to buy into and to not question

I know it's easier to suggest it than to prove it, but I suspect you have a theory why?

Especially in the case of Rubins

Ok I have listened to what JW said on talksport re Anderson he said I have just spoken to him he says he is optimistic a deal will be be struck talks are ongoing once once it is resolved and he says it will be resolved and the club will carry on he will come into TS but he wanted that out on the radio.

There you go accurate info from what he said

Rubins are not at fault here despite the conspiracy theories that are starting to surface.

They are not in cahoots with anyone and are doing the job correctly.

They could be accused of having too much faith in FV completing I guess but FV have done what they have been asked to do as I understand it and nobody has made a formal offer for the club other than Bassini since FV were awarded preferred bidder status

and as we know Bassini hasn’t been taken seriously
