Sorry to bring this up again but is the Italian fella buying us or not or are Howard's men coming riding in on camels to save the day

Confused.com

You must be confused if you think Bassini is Italian. More chance of Widnes buying and riding into the macron on a goat than the Arabs. My guess is local consortium buying us out of liquidation.

So do you think the chaps who Howard was going on about with the moonshift shares will not come back in

Don’t think Ken would allow his shares to be snatched back by moonshift (he will liquidate rather than allow that to happen is my opinion) and if Howard’s group are genuine that was their prefered option. So my guess is no they won’t be back.

It still makes sense, that Dark Horse can take control of the shares after the extended 14 day notice period, due to end on Tuesday at 16;30, that is unless the shares have been bought and paid for before that time.

Reading through Howards posts, Dark Horse seem to want the land, to sell or rent off and gain more money to put into the club. I aint fussed about the £5, £8, £13.3M or even the 17p, as that would get sorted after a sale or takeover.

I guess we will all find out Wednesday morning, that is if Howard isn't a WUM, and well done to her if she is.

We won’t find out if ken either sells or liquidates.

Would love 'howards group' to prove myself and the other doubters wrong but I'm expecting that if Bassini (or A.N Other) haven't bought us by 4.30 tuesday that nothing will happen

Like Mounts said, if howards talk is true then I'd expect Ken to liquidate instead of allowing them to take control and leave him with nothing

There is the option for ken to go cap in hand to Howard’s group, but that’s not his style.

We have until the Banks close on Tuesday (15:30) for money to be transferred, then either an announcement from Dark Horse (Team Howard) or the new owners or maybe the news that Anderson has started liquidation.

Anything else will determine Howard is a WUM or they took the money NOT to claim the shares.

We've been waiting 10+ days for Bassini to prove he has any money at all, him chucking £2m+ at a random consortium I'd say is the most far fetched option.

If Tuesday/Wednesday comes and goes and nothing happens, it was all bollocks (at least, the idea that Howard's group was ever going to seize control in that manner).

Howard is still logging in to their account on here all the time so I'm sure there's still some interest in whatever job they were doing.

I think the majority of BWFC fans would like Howards bidders to take over the club on Tues / Weds, if they have not already walked away ?

Depends who they are and what their plans are for the football side of the business. It’s possible they buy the club pay the debt then sell the car parks, hotel and any other assets we have take the cash and don’t invest anything in the football side.

Anybody who buys us could do that

That’s why I said depends what their plans are for the football side, couldn’t care less about the car parks, hotel or other assets (except the stadium) as long as there is a long term plan for the football side of the business.

What I don't get is why kenneth hasnt sold it all off

Very strange

Because he can’t,  PBP control the car parks and the hotel makes very little, needs investment and probably wouldn’t realise any significant return as it stands,  and the stadium under ACV which further complicates matters, and to make a profit he’s a better chance selling club lock stock and barrel to someone who has wherewithal to pay of  all debts and then sell assets off to highest bidder.

I'm sure it will all be secured, so Warburton, James et al would need to approve any sale. Doubt they would agree to Ken asset stripping.

If there's still a club I will get a season ticket next season out of blind loyalty - even though, as per this season, I use it very sparingly.

I think Howard, with his prisoner paradox remark, may have been implying that if it does gets to the point where Bassini isn't completing and Ken is 24 hours from having his shares taken off him, he may  go "cap in hand" to Howard's team and at least get something from them, albeit less payoff for Ken due the farce.

We can only hope that Ken doesn't hold the trump card by being happy with liquidation. I'd like to look at it optimistically, because if his plan is liquidation there's not anything we can do about it and that is the worst possible outcome. I'd prefer to discount that - until it is a grim reality. Could imagine liquidation being announced by Ken though, like when he announced us being put into admin by Blumarble, and then something happens to stop it at the last minute.

What does worry me though is H's comment that Bassini has the money to either buy the club or discredit his group's bid.

Not sure what he meant by discredit their bid, whether that means paying them compensation or just that they're willing to offer Ken more, but it didn't sound particularly positive.

If all is lost with Bassini and H's mob, plus Gaspard are out of the picture according to Ken, maybe our best hope is that it does get dragged out until May, when another group perhaps shows interest or current parties have more time to sort their shit out.

BWFC has definitely not been short of interest in this sale process, seemingly, but again the killer point is whether Ken would rather take a deal than liquidation. Surely some group could at least fund the club for a couple of seasons and give Ken what he wants, and then sell the club to someone with deeper pockets and an easier negotiation process.

In my mind, I think Ken would rather deal, it's just a simpler outcome for everyone, otherwise he would've liquidated us by now. Maybe I'm being naive though and his notes about working to get a deal done is just a facade and he's purposefully making it hard for bidders that gives him "no other choice" than to liquidate.
