Pretty much the same thing really except Ken negotiated a million quid reduction in the interest charges and persuaded Eddie to help out yet again. But there's been a lot of confusing debt with deficit and they are not the same thing at all. BWFC hit the buffers in 2016 not because of the debt but because of the operating deficit. It's taken upsetting folk, sailing very close to the wind, and being very thrifty, but he has been successful in doing what was necessary to keep the club afloat. My understanding is the debt will only be removed when the sale goes through and will come out of the proceeds of the sale. None of the outstanding debt has been settled, the blue marble debt has just been shifted sideways, thanks to Eddie. However much more of Ken and we’d be heading further into the mire, attendance and satisfaction with the club is close to an all time low, results and style of play is woeful and for the first time in my lifetime it’s a chore watching the team I love.
