I don't know if I'm being naive here, but serious question..... If the worst was to happen and the admins decided to liquidate, is there a 7 day window for someone to step in and buy?

There would be a period of time whilst liquidators are appointed - wouldn't be 7 days but in reality the admins presumably will indicate "if no solution is found within X days we will be forced to start appointment of liquidators".
Additionally admins will know now if there is any realistic prospect other than FV.

Hi

The new owners will be announced no later than Tuesday.

The supporters have been great. The turnout so far has been a great help in getting things resolved.

As for players, none are expected to sign immediatly. There are other issues to solve first. Technical and practical things. Also possible but not likely that legal situation with certain individual needs to be fully resolved first.

There have been talks with the EFL about the situation and the possibility for an extended transfer window due to special circumstances. EFL positive. Needs FIFA approval.

Family member of mine wish to thank you for your patience. The club is of great importance to the city. This has been a very wild ride, Wilder than you think. Nothing that can be talked about for a long while. It was very close

This from another forum, don't know how true it is.

The point, I'd suggest, is that people have read lies is a dead good journalist and are influenced by what he wrires

And, of course, what he fails to write about. Iles is selective and he and the ST have been stirring the pot at BWFC, not just since Ken Anderson arrived on the scene, but before anyone had even heard of him in connection with BWFC. And it wasn't just Iles, Bonnar was every bit as bad.

Its toxic and any new owner, after shelling out millions, will have to live with it in the confident expectation that, if they ever see any of it again, they'll be the subject of torrents of abuse.

The other problem with Iles is what he chooses not to say.....

Definitely legit. A vague timescale - either you know for sure everything will be done by Tuesday - so its Tuesday - or you don't and in which case it could be "whenever it gets done" which might be 3 weeks tomorrow...or later....

"possible but not likely that legal situation with certain individual needs to be fully resolved first"...definitely sounds like someone who knows what is going on!

Appleton did not submit that to the judge at all. Bassini's team claimed that is what Appleton told them. They would since they were pushing for an adjournment. Appleton submitted a statement that was not divulged publicly but I assume that it said the opposite.

I'll take the word of someone in court and who reported it the first chance he got over someone who wasn't there, frequently states his views and opinions as facts and who is often, as in this instance, completely wrong.

Have a nice day.

Obsessed

Ms Custard has since rephrased her comment, but we all read the initial post.

Marc, I agree, he/she really is obsessed.....

I initially found the various comments made by this character to be irritating, now I find them bordering on hilarious! 🙄

Who the fuck are you talking about?

Do you mean the Administrators (the Insolvency Practitioners) whose job isn't to run a football club, or Football Ventures (with Sharron Brittan being the lead figure and whose background is in property development) leading a consortium to buy the club and the land and buildings that come with it?

Only one bidder paid the £25k to look at the books, so clearly there's not much interest in buying just the club and being able to make a go of it, without funding/propping it up with land and property dealings that come along as part of the club purchase.  Everyone else seems to be waiting until the bid fails and then they can simply buy the land and property from the liquidators and not even have the costs and nuisance of running a football club to bother themselves with.

Who do you believe should be ploughing money into the footballing side - the Administrators who want to sell it and have only had one genuine offer for it, FV who are the ones trying to buy it but still don't own it (may never do!) and are clearly not flushed with cash, or someone else who hasn't shown any interest in buying the club when it was for sale, currently don't own it, and at best is putting a spanner in the works of the only genuine purchasers, or at worst deliberately trying to sabotage their deal and hoping they walk away?

If you don't want to watch a team you don't feel sorry for, for sometime to come then I suggest you go glory hunting some place else because there's absolutely no one wanting to piss away their fortune on making BWFC successful again.

If we survive it will all be about living within our financial means - financial sustainability.

Have you understood nothing about the reality of what's been happening since Eddie stopped putting in his personal wealth?

This 👍🏻👍🏻

Have a nice day.

Why would we need the transfer deadline extending if the takeover is to be completed no later than Tuesday? Although no specific Tuesday was mentioned.

Do you even know or understand what you are posting???

A question was tweeted to him by someone queering The LoV's Will Jones PERSONAL view  that the statement made in COURT that an adjournment would NOT impact the sale.

The reply you posted above was that Jones had said the Appleton wasn't in court and had previously ALLEGEDLY told Bassini differently  but what WAS talked about in court is that Appleton HAD submitted to the judge his statement that an adjournment would NOT impact on the sale.

Do you really believe he would deliberately give a lie to the judge (let alone a written one) because I certainly don't.

Jones however seems to think he did (seems a suitable apprentice for Iles then)

So again I point out that Appleton DID indeed submit a statement to the judge and it DID state than an adjournment would NOT impact on a sale and which is totally contrary to the utter bollocks you posted.

Wtf has got into Sluffy today. Profanities galore. Very unusual.

As an aside where are you getting the contents of Paul’s statement from out of interest as I’m led to believe it hasn’t been disclosed? Apologies if you’ve already stated this somewhere before

Anyway lock the thread til after the weekend. Nothing else happening til next week

Larry and the hotel causing problems still. Hotel more so and there is categorically no deal for the club without the hotel. They as mentioned before do not have an interest in acquiring the club alone. This is where KA holds some cards and is still lurking in the shadows causing issues too and waiting for his chance to shine and or profit. (Allegedly)

Time for beer and a bag to try and forget about this sorry mess til next week!!

I apologise for my profanities, sometimes it takes harsh words for people to stop and listen.

Something was said in court about Paul's statement of an adjournment not effecting a sale and reported by Will Jones who was present on the day and reporting for the Lion of Vienna by means of a Twitter blog immediately following the morning court hearing.
