Until everything is paid for and confirmed then I'm going with naff all has changed.

A couple of interviews mean nothing- nor does a club statement, as let's be honest, that's controlled by Ken, until he's out.

Once definitely sorted, I might become a little excited by what the future may bring.

aye, I don't think we're done with this yet, based on the club's offical statement saying all debts will be wiped on completion, whilst Bassini says hasn't had time to do due diligence and doesn't know what the debt is

Lets be straight on this:-

  • If he  (or his backers) as enough to buy the club he will have enough to cover all debts one would hope
  • Or, (what we all think), hes a fucking loon until proven different, and this will go to D-Day in May and we're still fucked. (following his possible Michael Knighton - plus red helmet - picth invasion tomorrow)

BWFC have plenty saleable assets

Any prospective owner knows this

Expect to see land development, including the car parks, some commercial building and houses

There's also maybe some land that the govt/council need to build a relief road

Plenty opportunities to recoup the investment

Think the hotel will be sold as well

This.

Pension funds are screaming out for land owners with property development sites and will pay all construction finance.

Management company (includes the owner of the land) and pension fund share the monthly rental income for a fixed term.

At end of fixed term all assets are passed back to the land owner via a lease back / asset transfer agreement.

Land owner has an asset to borrow against and a monthly rental income.

Easy bucks if you don't need to sell the land and can hang on a while.

If Bassini is a property tycoon then he'll know this and this is what he may have up his sleeve.  If he doesn't he can ask me and I'll get it sorted for him!

not sure how straight we can be but I'll go with your second point

you'd like to think when he filled in the fit and proper form for the EFL, it would have questions like "have you done important things, like due diligence" or "are you aware of what you're taking on, debt wise, and do have funds to cover this, if so, prove it"

maybe not

Listening to Bassini he constantly says We not I, that tells me he’s not in it on his own, that gives me a crumb of comfort. The question is who’d back a man like Bassini and agree the deal without the relevant due diligence.

My optimistic belief or hope is that he is backed by some people with serious money, who know he has contacts in the football world. They are using him as an entry into it and are happy for him to take all the publicity and he is happy with this arrangement, as if it comes of and we do end up back in the premiership he comes out as a hero, clears his name and his backers make some of the money back and use things like sponsorship in the most watched league in the world to further their own business interests.

Meanwhile, back in cloud cuckoo land :D

Definitely a case of wishful thinking but clubs like Bournemouth and even Wigan have wealthy owners.

Owners of Wigan posted a loss on their operations prior to buying wiggin
