Firstly i wasn’t trying to get a long time poster removed from this site. Obviously in the opinion of some the remark made wasn’t offensive. My youngest grandson is badly affected by autism,  I stand by my comments that even if no offence was intended by the poster. I personally find any negative comments about people with special needs offensive.

This site has also raised decent sums of money for a range of folk, special needs included.

Whilst I understand your point, life is, has been and hopefully will continue to be littered with bits of black humour.

Context is important, naturally, and someone just being a cunt towards a particular individual or group because of a genuine issue would be challenged.

At the same, when folk are prepared to dig into their pockets, it is clear that they're not necessarily 'ist' in one way or another.

What about telling mods how to do their job?

You have taken what was said out of context... My two pieces of advice are of you insist on taking things so personally, grow a thicker skin, and stay away from Cheese

Or people could have a second of thought before saying something that is easily taken out of context. Lots of people use the website, and whilst most of us have a weird/funny/bizare/dry/sarcastic etc sense of humour, some things need a second thought.

I didn't myself find it offensive, but from experience, my sense of humour does get me in trouble some times

I've long suspected that we have one or two closet autistic homosexuals in our midst.

This message is aimed at people who aint got autism, its a play on words for gods sake.  I think Ronnie Phillips is right, you too easily find fault and are offended, to ask mods for bans is outragious.

Then you need somewhere to express that humour without the thought police probing your brain- here!

A question for all the wannabe forensic accountants on here. Once you find out who owes what to who and know who has paid how much and where, what will you do with all this information?

Put it onto my colour coded BWFC current financial status wallchart of course, then make a separate entry into this years BWFC finance scrapbook and diary.

Where else could it go?

If you take offence, especially when it wasn't intended, at jokey remarks then you're going to struggle on here, mate.

... And for the love of God, don't go Behind The Stands.

My lad is autistic as fuck and I clearly would be diagnosed if I was at school nowadays and yet saw nowt offensive in the post.

Certainly compared to the rest of the site.

I am amazed people take offence to autism comments yet miss the homosexual side off. surely both are out of order?

Love it or loathe it, this place self regulates

It's been here 20 years and it's changing all the time

Lots of folk leave cos it changes too much, others leave cos it doesn't change enough

Sorry for any offence Tommy, as BB points out it's not aimed at people who are genuinely suffering from severe autism, but at personality traits that may resemble behaviours consistent with the high functioning end of the ASD spectrum.

Thanks to all those that made supportive comments.

Be nice to draw a line under it.

You're missing a trick though. Bolton have just paid out 30k for fertiliser, just think how much all the shit that's posted in this thread is worth on the open market?

This time next year Rodney...

Fair play mate... We're an odd bunch on here but generally decent underneath & generous when it comes to sponsoring people doing their bit for charities.
