Don't understand the hatred of Iles yes he is probably up his self but the hatred of him on here is a little bit sad, one or two people on here need to look. At themselves

Hatred is a strong word. I don't think anyone hates him.

A few find him annoying / unprofessional etc, but I don' think there's any real malice involved.

When he reports in a balanced way, I'll take him seriously and change my view on him

Did you read his piece on Allanson and the trust's response to him being prosecuted

May I just say what a gaggle of 24 carrot fuckwits most of you seem to be.

That's almost five days' worth of five a day. Or do they all have to be different. I forget.

Tobacco still counts as one, right?

The Bolton news reporter is a Professional Journalist, anything he writes in the BN will have been checked and possibly edited by someone senior to him, anything he puts out on Twitter is probably nearer to his true thoughts, like the rest of us he can say what he wants, he may even post on here.

Some of the personal insults and nastiness towards him are tiresome and unwarranted, plenty of  Iles haters quote him regularly though, if you think he’s shit don’t follow him

Yes, checked by Neil Bonnar. Doesn't that tell you something.

I never had a problem with Iles until he became the Supporters Trust mouthpiece.

Which is to find fault the whole time.

Been trying to be positive at our house and hope things work out in the end but last night my lad who is almost 17 said "so second worst scenario is we end up watching a club called Bolton Town or summat and worst is that I have to pack in watching football", deffo gave me pause for thought.

When finally KA, his son, and PP do leave (I've more sympathy for PP than a lot have) then it would be good to think Iles and Bonnar might fuck off as well but the amount of people sucking them off on social media makes me think otherwise. They could have come out of this looking brilliant but I'd piss on neither if I saw them on fire.

This whole thing has been a bit of an eye opener in a lot of ways, this place has actually been more balanced on both sides than pretty much anywhere else and it's also shown up other folk in different lights altogether. From a distance people like Firth and Shortland and others in that circle have showed their true colours and me along with others have probably ended up at odds with some they've known for years.

I know someone who has worked in football professionally all his life, who is BWFC through and through and whose opinion is as solid as it gets but turned out even he is friends with Firth et al and I'm having trouble processing it all.

Any road let's hope we're still here next week, I need to go to and have a smoke and a sleep with it being a Tuesday night and it being bad enough staff not getting paid without me not getting paid for being pissed and ducking tomorrow.

Excellent post, have wondered at times what the fallout between fans could be once we're finally demobbed after all this, the twitter "landscape", the post mortem etc.

And then I think that for however big a proportion of fans twitter, social media, forums represent, after the many hundreds of arguments and thousands of words, if we fast forward 6 months and we're winning games, feeling normal again the vast majority of this shit will be forgotten.

They should've just said 'Roger's a cunt but he's our cunt', and that'd have been the matter sorted.

"if " we still have a club.

the difference between young and older fans is massive

young ones are immature wankers who believe every thing that pings on their phone

old ones are dinosaurs who don't get today's culture

the rest of us just want to be a dinosaur.

I heard Done was in the mix the other week.

He’s not

his only concern at the minute is the impact of reduced revenue from the law changes on Fixed Odds betting machines.

He couldn’t give a shite about us

Well yes, if, obviously.

I don't say that flippantly either, I'd like to think that after all that's gone on and even just a few of the skeletons in our closet have come out that fan expectation, being comfortable with living within our means and being aware of the fragility of the club might become more of a theme amongst supporters, but I doubt it.

Hope any future owner keeps this cretin banned

He'll be allowed back in, probably given a heroes welcome, when really even though I defend him on a lot of stuff he may want to take a step back and look at his role in stirring up emotion amongst an active twitter fanbase and whether it was really what was needed at certain times.

Does seem to fit the style of the Evening News reporting at the minute though, just look at how the paper itself tweets reports, very opinion based. They've definitely had a change of direction I think, other day I was reading a report from one of their own about the dangers of walking down Bradshawgate, it read like a postbag letter.
