Take Over

It's only Howard casting aspersions on Ken that has set Custard on this crusade anyway.

Saying that, trying to get someone banned on an internet forum is also a bit pathetic. Stick him on ignore or something and move on.

All,

I came here with a singular purpose, that purpose was not to get drawn in to a bizarre game of having my honesty and integrity questioned.

Whilst Chriscustodiet remains a member of this forum I shall be withdrawing. Might I suggest you contact Casino with your thoughts on this.

Regards and COYWM

Come on Howard you know there is an ignore button on here, stick custardman on it and carry on with your ITK stuff.

ooo, I sense a poll coming on. Or maybe a straightener.

Or back in the grown up world, how's about folk stop trying to be dicks and picking holes in Howard's posts. It's tedious to me, Christ knows what it must be like for Howard.

Fwiw I don't care if Howard's 100% right or if he's got a dog in the race or not. I find his posts interesting, he clearly has some knowledge and has opinions he's happy to share without trying to be a smug twat about it. One or two could learn from him.

I agree

Until now to give Howard his dues he has answered literally every question thrown at him  , and the message to Howard has to be If you ignore a comment or question that someone raises because its not worthy of comment or is becoming tedious in the extreme folk on here aren't going to think you are avoiding or hiding something

So come on Howard - We want a fluid moving discussion and we want you helping us steer that discussion in whatever direction it moves with your incise comments

Now unless Howard is part of the mystery consortium, he’s never going to be 100% correct and might even be factually incorrect in some statements, I really don’t know or care but his insight has been miles more helpful than anyone else’s through this.

Let him get on with it without trying to pick holes in it, he’s trying his best and I appreciate it as do the majority of us.

Play nicely

I'm so sorry to burst the bubbles of anyone who might be a bit incurious.

I feel rather sorry for Howard. I don't expect PR men are used to being audited.

I really don't like folk having a little egotrip by unnecessarily denigrating others and it's a sad aspect of football fans in general wanting people to fail so they can have a good whinge about it. Howard came on here in good faith as far as we can tell and whilst we might not know his credentials or motives any more than anyone else on the internet, he's provided an interesting commentary on events and has been entertaining so will be missed. What he has written may or may not turn out to be true, but so what?

Anyhoo about the club...

We need a clear out starting with Anderson who may do the decent thing and not sell us to the corner shop in preference to a billionaire just because they offer him better personal terms, but I doubt he'd think twice about it  if he has the choice. He'd happily f*** us over for a tenner. If he does sell his shares to a decent owner, some folk have said he'll have done a good job for us, but IMO we would have been better off if he'd never shown up in the first place. The club was worth a lot more then and would have been a better proposition to buy us out of administration, and all the money he's wasted could have been spent on the team.

As regards Allardyce, he's also all about the money. Had money to pay the wages of top international players, walked as soon as it ran out. Dumped us for the Geordie shekels and then lo and behold, within hours of it being rumoured that we were about to be bought by a billionaire, turns up again asking for a job.

As for Parky, whilst i accept he's not had money or stability and has had to work with players of insufficient quality, I find his tactics and selections baffling at times. Whether he'd be any better with backing and money I honestly don't know so I wouldn't lose any sleep if we canned him. If we had a choice in the matter I think we need a tactically astute young English manager in the mould of e.g. Danny Cowley or an ex player whose done well e.g. Fernando if only to bring back the feel good factor - but obviously we'll have to see how things pan out.

Yes we need an owner with resources but more than that we need people who care for the club and are prepared to put the club first and neither Anderson or Allardyce fit that description. In my opinion.

Hope Howard has a rethink.

Thats the problem with anonymous contributors. Although we all have pseudonyms, most on here either know each other or know who others are. Had a couple of pints last week with members on here who I have differing opinions to but we had a laugh and joke about it over a drink (and in my case, a pork pie)👍

Howard, Chris

I'd like you both to stay

Howard has been informative and well over 50 per cent accurate in his reporting and supposition

He's clearly the best source of inside information on the takeover that most of us have

But, we also don't do it's him or me

So, if you two don't like each other, use the ignore function, or better still, play nice

Howard, hear the majority who want you here and Chris, stop pushing his buttons

Tia

It is a good point

Non regulars don't get that there's quite a few on here who are now way past being on nodding terms, yet before this site were strangers

Probably get to meet a few more new faces next saturday

You're like the bloke whose mates have intervened on him getting a kicking, yet still comes back for more, rising up in the face of pacifism. No-one like that bloke.

That bloke is a dick...

Don't be that bloke

Personally I wouldn't wish either one of you to go.

It sometimes isn't fun when you believe you are posting honestly and in good faith and constantly clash against others who believe they are doing the same .

I doubt Howard knows intimately every 'i' that is dotted or 't' that is crossed throughout the process and understand why someone like Chris would pick up these inaccuracies and challenge them.

However we all will know for certain the outcome of events soon enough so please let us all stick together for a little while longer.

Benny - my post of 'point well made' was about including Bonnar into my opinion on the reporting of the club in recent years.

I think what he is saying Chris to put this in a language that you will understand ( auditor speak )

Is that you come across as the Junior auditor ( probably an internal auditor in a large publicly funded body where commerciality does not matter ) who has no sense of materiality

And on the first day of being there you have found 17p difference in the petty cash reconciliation

As a consequence you focus on that 17p difference for the next 3 weeks you are on that audit and never actually resolve it and the £3 million pounds worth of stock that's gone missing remains undetected

this is the post I would have written if I'd been able to articulate it.

How long before you all forget Hoppy posted it and I can just do a copy and paste job?

I think Custard felt a bit put out as he was the go to person before Howard came along

At least from a prior financial history perspective anyway

However that only tells us so much and only upto a certain point (in line with the published accounts)

Howard has an inside line on the here and now which is the bit we are all desperate to find out more on

Room for both sets of contributions
