Take Over

Recommended Posts

Just got back from playing golf, and I thought I'd have a quick update on the takeover. Too my astonishment I find out that Howard has been chased out of town by that annoying prick Chris custodient or whatever is name is. Now when I come on this forum what I want to see is the informative insight from Howard not the incessant nit picking from Chris, so please Howard come back and keep giving us the information you have it's been brilliant. And Chris behave yourself!!!

It goes whereever the contributors take it. If you sit there waiting for it to happen on its own you just haven't been around wanderersways long enough.

Write something that provokes thought and interest then it'll happen.

Sidestepping the last few pages, Nolan's name wouldn't even be in the frame if he wasn't an ex-player and so that should be enough to rule him out - we need to make big decisions based on facts not sentiment if we are going to grow from a fresh start with a new owner.

Would Allardyce have got the job if not for his history with us? Solksjaer at United?

Nolan's had a good start to his managerial career in difficult circumstances, was a respected captain at most of the clubs he was at and is a club legend here.

Finding someone who can unite the club and get people excited about going to the Carrs Pasty Bowl next season is more important than neccesarily looking for a tactical genius or another Parky like Grayson.

But I don't think we'll be short of options - Moore and Rowett would also do for me.

So did Owen Coyle to be fair. He only got found out once he arrived to much fanfare.

Anyway, this Custard bloke. A KA plant?

Very much doubt that, but he tends to get confrontational, getting little digs in at some of the things Howard said, even though a lot of the time Howard admitted it was just his personal opinion and not actual FACT.

We've got a long week ahead, Howards knowledge/information would be much appreciated by many on here.

All,

I came here with a singular purpose, that purpose was not to get drawn in to a bizarre game of having my honesty and integrity questioned.

Whilst Chriscustodiet remains a member of this forum I shall be withdrawing. Might I suggest you contact Casino with your thoughts on this.

Regards and COYWM

As your favorite Ayn Rand character said "The brothers of the man who invented fire, had him burned at the stake, but he still left them with something they didn't have" (or something like that!)

Howard thank you for taking the time to give us your unbiased experience based view.

Without you this forum has just lost something that  it didn't have before, I for one will miss your comforting insight. Seems now its something we cant get back easily.

He does seem to be pro KA  and anti.... well anyone who criticises KA.

In fact he only turned against Howard when he suggested that KA May have been involved in some shady business practices.

The first year of Coyle would be ideal. You'd just have to hope the new men are better judges of when to get rid.

My two pennorth, Howard knows his onions and I am glad he has taken the time to share his knowledge. Just a few days ago I had serious doubts about my club’s very existence. Howard’s insight helped put my mind at ease. He also apppears to have much genuine “insider” knowledge. I very much hope he has a change of mind, continues on the forum and ignores those who grief him. He is good to have around. Come back fellow Wanderer.

Spot on come back H

I think we beat Spurs at home to take us into the top 6 playing the type of football the fans had cried out for post JJ and Youri...  My biggest fear then was losing Coyle to Arsenal!!

A week or 2 later thumped Newcastle 5-1, drew 2-2 with Blackpool with Mavies scoring a belter. Think it was also same November Elmander scored at wolves and Holden from a top move. What a month. I really thought we had made it.

ill say it, I still like Coyle. Wouldn’t want him backthough

Just stole my thunder!

Was about to post that I heard Howard was setting up a rival forum.

Howardsway. I was going to sign-up under the pseudonym "Ken Masters"

I'll get my coat.

Brilliant period that, actually thought we were heading for Europe. I had the same fear about Coyle going, I remember one of the papers touting him as Wenger's successor. Wasn't he linked with Liverpool as well? Frightening.

Wouldn't either have been funny as hell?
