Presumably if it turns out alright, you'll be begging forgiveness from the brave souls who's protests made it happen?

The Warburton stuff is interesting. I don't think he's as bad as his stints at Rangers and Forest make out, but it'd still be an odd look for him to pull a consortium together to buy the club and stick himself in charge.

If a deal has been agreed in principle that would suggest there is some solution to paying Eddie's £5m, which is promising (unless the solution is BluMarble).

Are you actually serious?

Like you really do believe this?!

You and any protestors had absolutely nothing to do with any projected sale of the club or ongoing negotiations. Nothing at all.

If you believe different I honestly suggest you stop inhaling solvents in your mums box room and get a fucking grip.

It’s the 3rd of Feb and hands down you’ve already won the yearly award for most bollocks written / will be written in one post

Sale is ‘agreed in principle’

so all this worrying about if debt a has been factored in and what happens to such & such a thing have no doubt been discussed and agreed upon so stop all the fretting about those

in my mind the only thing that could now put a stop to this is Ken moving the goalposts. With his track record that’s the biggest worry at the moment

but I think he’s now at that point where he’s that desperate to get out he’d be stupid to

I was told, sold subject to creditor agreement

Which I guess means Brett and mj?

And maybe some others being asked to defer or take percentages?

Anderson doesn't have the money to pay back the £5million he borrowed from Eddie Davies, and this has to be paid back in March I think. So it is in his interest to sell asap, as I am not sure exactly what the agreement was when he borrowed the money, he could conceivably lose control of the club for example, but we don't know what they agreed.

Ok. Slowly this time then...

Spider said that if the new owners turn out to be charlatans, it'll be on the heads of those who protested and forced Ken to sell. It's on page one of this thread.

I asked what his opinion would be if the opposite turns out to be true. If you think the protests have forced Ken to sell, then if the outcome is good for the club, surely it was actually a brilliant thing for people to do.

FWIW, I didn't protest, and don't think it has anything to do with the timing of us being sold. If you think people who do think that are on solvents, take it up with Spider.

That’s fair enough.

And solvents are the least of spiders worries.

This is the interesting bit, and maybe the reason to take the latest rumours with a smaller pinch of salt than usual.

From what we know (or think we know) the loan is to KA personally, secured against his shares, and due to be repaid next month.

If true, to be able to benefit in any way from a sale his options are

1. find another £5m from somewhere to repay

2. Negotiate an extension on the loan

3. Sell before the loan matures

Might accelerate things, but a forced quick-fire sale still leaves me a tad wary ...

Which is why I wouldn’t rule out this 2nd party at this stage

if indeed as I said above the Davies’ are involved in the 2nd lot, the £5m being used as a tool ie; not calling that in but offsetting it against the cost to buy the club from Ken it does make the offer attractive

that being said the current front runners have obviously factored that in to their bid and will no doubt have provided some assurances to the creditors they will get their monies when due..

either way the debt gets settled and off KA swans without having to find it / re negotiate it himself

the more I think about it, the more this timeframe suits Ken. He’s not really arsed about the transfer window deadline it’s more about getting rid before he needs to find £5m

While I consider myself a whole lot more clued up than the let's go for admin, it's great mob

I can't get my head round this one

Is a cut price sale better than administration/liquidation for Kenneth?

I suppose the answer is how cut price?

If Ken has sold for£20 million or £1 I really don't care as long as the new owners can get this club looking up rather than going from one disaster to another

Admin doesn't really help - we're not tied up in loads of onerous contracts and most of the debt is secured against assets. The cost to buy the club pre-admin and during admin doesn't much change unless secured creditors agree to accept a reduced amount and / or (significantly) extended terms. They could just as easily not, in which case we're liquidated and the assets sold off. It doesn't help with ongoing running costs unless we cancel contracts with our cheap, hapless players and replace with cheaper even more hapless players. And Ken ultimately gets nowt.

Any sale now is better for Ken (assuming there's at least enough to clear his debt with Moonshift plus 'a bit'), better for the club (massively), and likely fairly neutral for any potential buyer. Unless, of course, secured creditors agreed to write down their debt.

Can’t see him willing to take a loss. But I doubt he’s getting anywhere near the profit he wanted either

getting what he put in and the obligation to pay the debts taken off him I would say is a result in his eyes now

Yeah

But I'm trying to see it from kens point of view

Let's be honest, assuming we still own land, he hasn't been the asset stripper he or the new lot could turn out to be

The hysteria aside, what actual disasters have we had?

It would appear my posts - and those of Bigtoe and a few other on here - are now being screened on Twitter by someone called “Trotters Blog”.

instead of coming on here and engaging in the discussion, he (one assumes) is choosing to snipe and lurk in an act of lame shithousery.

Happy to discuss on here kidda. Don’t be scared, you can stay behind the keyboard, we don’t bite.

Or just keep taking screenshots for likes on Twitter.

I wouldn’t describe myself as worried

if I wanted a big following of sweaty men on Twitter I’d set up an account as a woman with big tits who talks about anal sex all day.

Amused, yes. Worried, not so much.
