I don’t mind Connelly, showed desire to get his bonce on that cross Tuesday and has shown some decent touches, looks quite tidy without being spectacular.

Not checked his record at Wigan but I’m guessing he didn’t play much so will still be getting up to speed and still getting used to the set up in class

Rated quite highly a couple of years back. But looks to the the generic type of player our academy seems to produce these days.

More of an all action type, full of energy rather than that excellent ability that makes the odd 1 or 2 stand out.

Career utility in championship\L1 is my guess, which is still a fooking excellent career.

Fair point

Though I'd not be surprised Everton are paying their wages

That's when he'll fall out with the rest of the team when he rolls in on pay day with a bundle of £20 notes shouting "Loads-a-money!"

True Bolton fans starting a thread with assists and goals in last two games yet he’s still shit FFS

At H-T at Preston, Joe Williams debut, I was comparing him to Stephen Gerrard.  And McGennis was clearly the new Troy Deeney after WBA.  My first impressions aren't to be trusted!  I'm always interested to hear what other fans think of new signings.

Maybe first impression are right and they are getting their natural talents ground down in training!

It's gone on for ages. Jussi, when he first came, really had the command of his whole area. The more seasons he stayed, the less likely he was to venture away from the 6 yard box. Used to infuriate me.

He had such command of his area that allardyce dropped him to be replaced by Steve banks in a league cup semi v challinor

Jussi was like a rabbit in headlights when he came

He matured to be a great keeper, a bolton legend

Was that the Jussi era?

I thought it was longer ago and the Branagan days.

My memory is merging loads together these days

Jussi arrived about 1997ish, I think Toddy signed him. He certainly played at Sunderland the season it looked like we were going to be top 2 until we crumbled. I remember him diving out of the way at 2 shots he should have easily saved.

That was the season Banks was signed, played at Watford. I think you were with Marple when I stumbled onto the train station with 2 bottles of wine for the way home, already well oiled

Merging is an issue

But he definitely hesitated in a one on one with Jack at our place

Was it fatmans first game before he started officially on the following Saturday

2 2?

Aye midweek game

Think he came out for the ball then changed his mind to give Jack the advantage

They are all crap

But the permanent players under contract are being replaced by new players that cost money and don't improve the team. Parky is not only making the team worse but pushing us deeper in debt. How does KA sanction these deals in the current climate? I could accept a new striker that is a risk, as we are short on numbers, but we have 5 potential left backs/wing backs now and only Noone is near championship standard. And I've lost count of how many midfielders we've got, does PP realise they need paying?
