Hamilton signs a one year deal. Wins next season to beat all records and then retires?

I wouldn't read too much into it, it has not exactly been a normal year for usual negotiations. However, if he wins this year it wouldn't surprise me to see him retire from F1.

Looks fucking smart don't it.

Enjoyed reading Vettels dig aimed at Ferrari as well about the hard work being put in at AM and "it's not just about the fancy looks and expensive designer chairs in the office" 😂

Hope they do well but it still slightly annoys me that Stroll has clearly only got his seat as his dad bought the team. Way it goes in F1 though, money talks.

That Aston Martin looks the absolute bollocks.

Hope they can compete at the top end of the grid with that this season.

If Vettel has his mojo back, could make things exciting.

Do you mean its livery, as they're all pretty much the same shape aren't they?

To be fair, if a chap is prepared to thrust a load of money in the direction of the team, its not unreasonable that he has a say in the drivers.

Thought somebody would say that as soon as I posted. 😁 No, they own Aston Martin.

So you thought the mention of AM was about Aston Martin?

Good call; I thought Casino,  Undies, Victor,  Barnstoneworth, Mike Hunt and the rest of the Anthill Mob had invested in F1

Yep, cant argue with that. Its just when the commentators/pundits throw out the "20 best best drivers in the world" shout it irks me a little. Its probably something more like 12 best drivers in the world and then some good drivers that have wealthy sponsors or parents. Fair play to em mind, play the hand your dealt and all that.

And then there is Pastor Maldenado 😁

Get your point, but being an F1 driver takes some skill and fitness way beyond the reaches of most.

Even if his son isn't one of the best f1 drivers, he's still going to be very talented and capable- if only out of necessity so as to avoid death.

Fair point. I'm not one that underestimates the fitness and skill to just be on the grid. What I'm saying, I suppose, is that I would think there would be "better" drivers around that don't get the breaks/chances that have been afforded to some.

Alas, that's life, not just F1. Not getting into that though, there is enough threads already ruined by "politics" 😁👍
