Site Supporter MickyD Posted March 22, 2019 Site Supporter Share Posted March 22, 2019 9 points hasn't actually hurt then as they weren't going up anyway. Not enough to relegate them either.

Okocha10
shame we're that bad at the minute we couldn't get near them, very much in danger with the form they are in at the moment

Breaching EFL financial fair play rules (Profitability and Sustainability) I thought their own rules (EFL) demand a 12 point deduction so IMO, EFL have bottled it because that would drop them in the group looking to avoid the drop along with us and Ipswich. jmjhb
Losses in excess of £13m per year over a three-year period are not accepted under EFL rules They'll be the first of many. Judging by the accounts, Blackburn next year.
Big E
totally pointless fine / deduction.
Marc505
Feels like a bit of a cop out. Theyve been seen to have done "something" about it but nothing that will critically alter the league standings in any way. Should have been 50 points with 25 deducted from all other teams in the Midlands for proximity and accent reasons.

Marc505
The list of teams on a knife edge for one reason or another through the leagues grows and grows, sounds like Port Vale situation is about to come to a head too.

QPR’s fine coincided with being in the Premier League, didn’t it? Knew the fine was coming, ignored it as they’d got promoted and then banked enough Prem TV cash to pay the fine. Similar to West Ham and the Tevez fine.

Moderators Casino Posted March 24, 2019 Moderators Share Posted March 24, 2019 (edited) The moral of the story being, if you're going to cheat, make sure you get promoted Bournemouth really are a piece of work Tad ironic, that when I hear Bournemouth, one of the first names I associate with it is redknaop Edited March 24, 2019 by Casino
