What did they do?

Breaching EFL financial fair play rules (Profitability and Sustainability)

I thought their own rules (EFL) demand a 12 point deduction so IMO, EFL have bottled it because that would drop them in the group looking to avoid the drop along with us and Ipswich.

Feels like a bit of a cop out. Theyve been seen to have done "something" about it but nothing that will critically alter the league standings in any way.

Should have been 50 points with 25 deducted from all other teams in the Midlands for proximity and accent reasons.

Now that sounds like a plan! :D

totally pointless fine / deduction.

reminds me of when West Ham got away with just a fine for the Tevez / Mascherano affair

they basically said "we'll just fine them, we don't need to dock points as well, they've suffered enough"

i.e. if we dock them points it would relegate them

"they" being Trevor Brooking and the FA along with the PL who chose not to enforce their own rules

Still wouldn't be enough to save us though 😊

Derby and villa could be next.

how on earth have Qpr been able to pay their fine ?

and still Birmingham should be safe, looking at their last 5 games..............

QPR’s fine coincided with being in the Premier League, didn’t it? Knew the fine was coming, ignored it as they’d got promoted and then banked enough Prem TV cash to pay the fine. Similar to West Ham and the Tevez fine.

The moral of the story being, if you're going to cheat, make sure you get promoted

Bournemouth really are a piece of work

Tad ironic, that when I hear Bournemouth, one of the first names I associate with it is redknaop
