Brilliant. Got most of the team, had Seamus in the nets and had Hoggan instead of Carter. Not bad from a guess at 6 years old kid watching

I was at that game but I have to ask.... Who the fuck was Phil Wilson? He's been completely eradicated from my memory, probably by booze.

Huddersfield comes into play - he either went there or we got him from them

broke into the team in the relegation season 1980. Was about 2 foot 6. Looked brilliant when he first made the team, but like a lot of the kids we threw in that season he went off the boil a bit and we ended up selling him to Huddersfield a year or two later.

No idea how he got on there as - obviously - football doesn't exist outside Bolton.
