Duck Egg
Torn on this. Yes - In any walk of life I'd support strike action where an employee hasn't been paid what they are due. No - half of em have been so bad they don't deserve paying, they're overpaid anyway and they do have that guarantee that they will get it eventually
kent_white
Has this ever happened before? Bad as things are - these twats could make us even more of a laughing stock. If they go through with this then every single one of them will instantly become an utter cunt in my book.
Benny The Ball
Just now, Casino said: If there reason for striking was to move things on, I'd support them I honestly don't think it is You are correct - the players are striking with PFA backing to look after themselves But as a consequence this focuses attention onto the EFL and their lack of action to date , and onto why the Anderson - Bassini Deal is not concluded and whether or not it will I really dont give a shit about the individuals taking part in the strike but I will support anything that gives us a resolution to this sooner rather than later

Jeebster
Why not just play the development lads or any of the youth lads, let's be honest they probably couldn't do much worse than the pathetic senior players
ZiggyStardust
One of the players striking will be (possibly) Mark Little. He has played 300 minutes of football in the past year, and will have been paid somewhere between £100,000 and £150,000 for this. That's £300 per minute of productive (and that's debatable) work. I have nothing against Little, but at the same time I have no great amount of sympathy for him either.
MancWanderer
No Go and work as a nurse or a fire-bobby for a week and see how you like working in those conditions for their wages (aimed at the players not any posters btw) Fuck em As mentioned above we are well and truly tinpot now Edited April 26, 2019 by MancWanderer

vagabondo
No. And under EFL rules the club can't field a team of youngsters. Got to be at least 10 players from the squad of the last league game played I believe. And Gordon Taylor could pay the players out of his monthly salary in support of his precious union members. Moderators Casino Posted April 26, 2019 Moderators Share Posted April 26, 2019 Not supporting an has nowt to do with how shit they are Their first responsibility is to their family Assuming they don't need the money straight away, that ones covered After that, their second responsibility is to us Failing to play is kicking each and every one of us in the bollocks I'd expect a failure to play will leave some bridges burned for any who are here next season

His salary, from memory, is £1.3m I’m not sure that £100,000 would cover even our players salaries.

paulhanley
If I'd not been paid for two months running I'd be bloody annoyed. But there's two games and two weeks to go. There'd be far better ways of making their point.
mickbrown
Sort of. I can understand it, totally. But and it's a big but, they've shown their true colours and they aren't the sort of players we need for the battle ahead as demonstrated by PFA rep Taylor strolling around against Ipswich, plainly not giving a fuck. Any coming to the end of their contracts wouldn't be getting renewed if I had owt to do with it
Site Supporter RONNIE PHILLIPS Posted April 26, 2019 Site Supporter Share Posted April 26, 2019 I'm guessing we could be deducted points for this next season if we still have a club?
ErnestTurnip
My worry is that they are doing this because they are more in the know than us and they think the club won't exist next season. If we do exist then half of them will still be in contract and getting paid by us but getting grief for being involved in this withdrawal of labour but they've weighed it up and think it's more likely they will be employed elsewhere. bolton va va
No Shower of cunts. Of course they should be paid & as i understand it, it's pretty much guaranteed that they will be paid one way or another, but even these overpaid, pampered fannies should be able to understand why there's a delay .
