Spent a bit of time last summer on the south coast, Alvastoke, nr Gosport,  lovely down there, quick ferry and your in Portsmouth if you want city amenities , back over for coastal village life style watching yachts and sail boats on the Solent.

Every ones in, or linked to the navy in some way it seemed.

Dunno why, but my dad was born in cromer

I've only been once and the weather was grim, but could see that being a decent place to be

Maybe rhosneigr on Anglesey

Tbh, can't see me moving far, unless it's abroad

Cromer is lovely, I go there quite often in the summer months. Brilliant beaches up that part of the world. When it's cold though, fuck me is cold, that wind comes straight off the North Sea

Hayle or St Ives; love that part of the country, so idyllic and home to at least three of my all time favourite boozers.  Heading north, I’d go Port Patrick or Drummore near Stranraer, again breathtaking and a different pace of life

New England bay near drommore is great

A few miles away, stranraer...what an utter dump

Like holyhead to be fair

Tomski would move to Biggleswade he told me

Ha you beat me too it.

Would of been London 5-10 years ago now.

Honestly now I’d think abroad if anywhere.

I like my life and where I live so see no reason to move anywhere to be honest

An area (together with Norfolk) I need to visit and get to know.

Liked Lincolnshire, need to venture further down.

My dad was head hunted by a company in Lincolnshire in the late 60s. I think I was about 6 or 7 and we went down to look at the place. When he went back to work the next day to hand in his notice they made him a better job offer so he stayed up here. I often wonder which direction my life would have taken.

Whereabouts Micky?

Funnily enough my father in law is from Lincolnshire, and he moved here for work!

Definitely coastal

Dorset for me - Poole/Lilliput/Sandbanks is lovely. Get much better weather n all.

I like a few places in N wales too - Conway, Nefyn, Absersoch. Couldn’t live there until retirement though. Not metropolitan enough for me at this age

Beach and sea for me as well, probably South Wales as go there a lot on holiday and really like it.

It's easy to be negative about Bolton but the centre and estates etc are the same everywhere and we are blessed with a lot of really nice surroundings that a lot of folk miss, get out on the West Lanky moors for example and they as nice as anything you will find in the UK.

Absolutely no idea. Unfortunately he is no longer here so I can't ask.

Stayed at loads of locations over the years, just like being where i am, only an hour to the seaside, lake's, moors and hillsides. Big cities on your doorstep. and a load of local games next season.:)

that's it in a nutshell, we can't complain really.

When I had the company based in Tyldesley, I spent many happy hours in Suffolk in many villages all around the Bury St. Edmunds area (one of our biggest clients was there and still is  - Shelbourne Reynolds). Locals a bit odd until they get to know you and I ended up spending some great times in various pubs and hostelries is some very quaint little villages. Always liked it and have always thought that if we ever came back to Blighty, we would probably set up camp down there somewhere.
