Quite often the results, particularly the paternity tests, can be harrowing. My guess is that someone has been told they aren't the father of a child they've doted on for all its life and suddenly has the bomb dropped that someone else is the dad. Purely a guess having seen the show. Had been accused of cheating on his partner, swore he hadn't and went on the show to do a lie detector to clear his name. Lie detector said he lied, so he went and killed himself.
