Touche. thats an amazing point . should buy us til saturday until they stop stuttering in disbelief. 2 hours ago, DirtySanchez said: Has anybody seriously suggested they should? i mentioned it somewhere , a bit off handedly .... For example, major league baseball bought the Montreal Expos when their ownership situation went crazy , i think the idea were to wind them up along with the Minnesota Twins , but someone in minnesota sued the league (i had to look this up, It were the minnestota Stadium's owners), and that stopped it happening like planned. In the end the expos owners bought the florida (miami) marlins from the guy that now owns liverpool , who bought the Red Sox , the MLB bought then moved the expos to washington dc and eventually sold them (a few years later mind) to some Real Estate magnate. A hard to follow merry-go-round . Made my head hurt and i barely remembered it. Be amazed if something similar happened with Us and Bury. Not sure if its useful or interesting or relevant . but it happened. Cant see the FL running Us and Bury for years until they find buyers . The administrators might , but the EFL is playing silly buggers after 12 weeks , so imagine what it'll be like after 36 months.. Got to find buyers quick , just to stop the football league making arbitrary rules up over who , how , when and where we play football matches. Is that true, though? I remember the league saying something along the lines of ‘we’re not arsed who plays, just get it played’ - then the SAG stepped in anyway to save everyone the bother. The game was postponed originally because we had no players.

Still thought the league was keen for us to get on with it with anyone who could fill a shirt, but I can’t be certain. There’s been a lot to keep track of. Wanderlust
Woman from the EFL talking about the Fit and Proper Persons test for club owners putting it back on the clubs saying that the EFL works for the clubs and it is the clubs who decided what should be tested and how. Not sure if it's just slopey shoulders or a statement of fact. Anyone know how EFL rules were formulated?
Moderators Casino Posted August 22, 2019 Moderators Share Posted August 22, 2019 Once again, I say, what the fcuk do we want the efl to do Last time, the only option was anderson If they refused him, we go bust I'd have been well chuffed with that This time, it looks like its FV If they had decided no to FV, do we all say fair enough, let's shut it down? No. We go to Bassini, Bin Ladens heir or the fucking Chuckle Brothers just as long as we survive. Time will give us the opportunity to become a well managed, well run club again one day. The key is survival.

If you lurch from Ken to Bassini - you end up where you where only in a worse mess. We've seen that here. We're seeing it at Bury. Owners like Ken, Bassini - they are a short term fix but they create longer term problems that ultimately put the club in a worse position. Johnnyrotten
It shows how bad its got when Bury could disappear today and its not even the main sports news on my mind. Every day has been the same for about 6 months. Parky resigns and its not even registering as important, Liverpool win the European Cup and its "yeah but more significantly what's happening with the takeover". Anyway this is a Bury thread and I'm rooting for them today, just not as much as I'm rooting for positive news for us.

Maybe he should be asking Bassini who apparently has shedloads of the stuff and wants to buy a northern team, and is not wanted at BWFC. I'll bet you an Internet pound that they survive 😊 Dale paid a quid and I'm sure he doesn't want the long term hassle of trying to sell a dilapidated football ground. He certainly doesn't give a s*it about them but I think he'll walk away at the 11th hour with a few hundred k for his trouble.
