watching Bolton - even on a screen - is one of the few things that gives me any entertainment through the week, and getting back to games is one of the things that I’m most looking forward to. So if giving an effective charitable contribution for a year props the club up and means that it is possible, and there’s a club there on the other side to go and watch (and even better one that is doing well), then that will do for me.

Absolutely spot on.

Your first point is one which baffles me about some of our supporters.

When life was normal, hectic, 100 miles an hour with a million things going on with the family, it was difficult, but time put aside for home games and pre-planned occasional away games were found, just.

Now, in Covid times, what else are our supporters doing during match time? Watching Corrie, browsing Facebook, drinking in quiet isolation in their sheds?

Like you Eddie, watching Bolton is the highlight of the week, beers chilled in preparation, work and exercise completed for the day, ready to see the whites challenge for promotion as the Renaissance begins.

Its nowhere near the same as being there, but what else am I going to do at 3pm today?

Season ticket for the last 20 odd years or so.

Seen one game this season, Salford on Sky.

The worrying thing is, I'm barely missing it.

Strange one.

As a Bolton fan, in these Covid times, other than drinking and restrictions being lifted, what do you look forward to? Is there anything during the week that you put in the diary as something to break away from the monotony of isolating?

Home matches have become a chore for many seasons now think that’s more to using the matchday bus along with nothing to cheer on field

I'm riding my bike loads more, so I'm not sat in the house all day everyday. That's keeping me sane.

Me too. Glad to see the bike does the job.

But after a morning on the bike Im always thinking ahead to the entertainment, the sport, the competition, the passion, (well me and the boys at home try our best 😀) the unpredictability of the result.

Give it a go you might enjoy it.

The problem the club as, is enticing fans back, not everyone will be in a position to pay full price coming out of this pandemic, fair and happy medium needed.

Shazza has already said there will be a discount, she is as honest as they come, whatever the club come up with we have to trust that works for the club financially as well as keeping the supporters happy, although i suspect some will never happy and will be wanting a free ticket alongside a free lubed hotdog.

I'm in no matter what the price.

That's about it. FV have played fair up to now. They have done everything they said they would with the minimum of fuss and a great plus for me is that we haven't been in the paper apart from match reports.

They are getting on with rebuilding our club and took us on before the worlds arse dropped out. That could have been just the excuse they needed to cut their losses and sell us out.

We're in good hands with Lady Sharon, and I'm in.

Did I read somewhere that season ticket holders from this season would have their names on a plaque somewhere as a thanks for the support? Not sure if I had to email them to confirm it or something.

https://www.bwfc.co.uk/news/2020/october/club-to-launch-wanderers-rewards-to-thank-season-ticket-holders-for-exceptional-loyalty/

"Exclusive benefits for current Wanderers season ticket holders will include:

  • A discount, no less than 10%, will be applied against a 2021/22 season ticket. The level of discount will be factored according to when supporters are permitted to return this season and will be confirmed at the end of the current campaign.
  • Recognition of your loyalty with your name displayed in a special ‘Wall of Fame’ in each stand of the University of Bolton Stadium...."

Im not arsed about discounts and plaques but that reads a MINIMUM 10% discount based on us seeing at least some live games

If they can afford the discount, give me 10% off one in the second tier

Ill wait

Give it a go today or Tuesday. If either are half as good as the last 8-10 games then you’ll get the buzz back before you know it. As I posted on the other thread, I never thought I’d get so excited about watching us on a stream in my front room. They really have been the central part of my week, even when we were doing shit earlier in the season.
