Gutted. I’d say that I fear it’s an indication that the iceberg isn’t far ahead, but surely we hit it a long time ago   He has shown tremendous dignity throughout this whole mess and really has c

Not the best tactician but he should be remembered for his integrity and dignity through the club’s darkest days. I hope he gets a decent job and does well. Thanks Phil.

Another sad day in the history of our club.

I've hated him. Loved him. And had zero feelings for him during a lot of his tenure. But I have had respect for all he has tried to achieve under enormous pressure in recent months. Trying to raise the moral of a team that's not been paid can't have been easy and not in the job description. The football, in the main, was shit to watch. But his cards were dealt before he even arrived. I'd imagine he's got something else lined-up already. Good luck to him.

As others say - be interesting to hear "the truth" from his perspective - if he even knows it, once the dust has settled. But I don't think he's the kind of guy to sling any mud. So we'll probably never know.

Kevin Nolan might be able to bring back some passion. And be that connecting factor between fans and management. But how long will he be able to stomach the sorry affairs going on behind the scenes? All we could hope from someone like Nolan is that he knows what its like to be a young player starting out at the club - and we've more than our fair share of those on the brink of first team football each week.

For me this means that we are either done or he knows we are being taken over in the next few days and he knew he was being potted.

If I start backing both sides like that though I might as well start posting in the TAKE OVER thread.

Already posted before about Campbell as potential manager, Nolan is emperor's new clothes for me, and I honestly started to wonder if Lee had left - where's he been when the young uns have been out? No fucking where cos they aren't his regardless of the folk shouting "play the youth" last year.

Are you Alan Nixon

Nixon just been asked about Lee. Says he's still at club. Wonder whether there has been friction between him and Parky?

Interestingly, Dearden mentioned the Lee was watching saturday's match from the stands before leaving early

I think this is about him knowing that the transfer window closes soon and he's just not going to be able to create any type of team. For the first time in some time he's probably just thinking of himself. Nobody can blame him. Given the right backing he'd have made us Championship streetfighters - no more than that admittedly and it would have been far from pretty. But he's better off starting afresh elsewhere. I hope we survive as a football club and play against one of his future clubs.

Sad to hear this news. I think he's been a rare beacon of honesty and decency amidst the wreckage that is BWFC. In time and viewed in the context of what he had to deal with his achievements on the pitch will be given due credit.

I wish him and Parkin well, thank you for all you did.

Surely if Otzumer and Magennis are rats then so is he?

I don’t think any of them are for what it’s worth

Quite. If it was Jason Lowe who quit today he'd be getting the same shit those pair did. Hopefully the penny is dropping.

I wanted Parky gone in the summer, and at various points when it looked like FV would complete. But we're way past the point where a fresh face will make any difference, and as a respected figure in football he would've been key to recruitment, if we ever get chance to try and build a team.

Overall his record here is pretty good, he's been dignified throughout and held things together for as long as he could. I wish him well.

One assumes that he is leaving as he knows there is no chance that he’ll get his contractual payoff

That’s my gut wrenching feeling.

Wish him well.
