Coyle might have been a failure but Sam was a huge success. i think Nolan should be a contender.
Johnnyrotten
Nothing against him but if Coventry or Rotherham were looking for a new manager Nolan wouldnt be considered.

Wanderlust
I guess part of recruiting a new manager comes down to what FV's budget is and whether or not they have any money left for the rebuilding "project" as managers like to call it. Not expecting much TBH.
Blondi
Just typed in Kevin Nolan on twatter, looks like he's nailed on to become our next manager.🤘

jimmyjoojar
Keith Hill all day for me. Even after that dismal run of results towards the end at Rochdale his win % average is still a v decent 39.4%.

Leyther_Matt
I'm in the Keith Hill camp but given this season is pretty much a free go as it were, I'm more than happy to see Nolan given a chance if it gets the fans onside and we just give it a good crack. 12 minutes ago, boltondiver said: Such as? Someone who has been there and done it and doesn't want to be hands on anymore, maybe just an advisory role such as Redknapp with Lampard last year, perhaps a Curbishley
DomRepWanderer
Tom Beresford @tomsportsjourno Kevin Nolan to be announced as Bolton Wanderers boss in the next few days. Watch this space. #BWFC
Belgrade Wander
I love Nolan, but I'd go with Keith Hill this time, he's got a lot of experience at this level You can't really go with a young, unproven manager when you've got no squad and -11 pts

We're going down so a year to build a team for next season and find your feet. I'd argue its the perfect time for a younger manager - no pressure, no expectancy and a group of fans who are united again and not looking to criticize. Belgrade Wander
I'm not really sure about that, if our point deduction somehow stays at -12 then I wouldn't bet FV will just give up on trying to stay in the league. But romantically speaking, yeah, it sounds like a perfect time for a total rebuild and Nolan would be the obvious choice.
SilentBob
I think of all the possible names mentioned, Dean Holden sounds best, considering pretty much all of them are massive punts. At least he's had almost 3 years of being at a club that doesn't spend loads, plays decent football and have been fairly successful for their size. Can't expect him to replicate it, but it's probably the best punt we've got if the few names mentioned are the only ones available.

Hopefully that's not rhyming slang. Dean Holden would be my choice too but it all depends on whether he's ready for a move back. If he's up for it he's probably been around enough now to do a decent job.
Pricey
Where is Dean Holden? Hasn't he been out of job since 2015? I know he managed Oldham for a few months, but where has he been since?

DomRepWanderer
Strangely there is no betting market for next manager, maybe there is but I can't find one.
