Kane57 162
Really good appointment. Looking forward to him getting started properly now. Monday should be fun
TrickyTrotter 56
Sensible appointment. Hopefully him and Flitcroft are working tonight. No time to lose!
barrycowdrill 381
Dream job for them both. Weve got people who care for the club top to bottom now 11 players already good to go Edited August 31, 2019 by barrycowdrill
tshape 49
I'm happy with Hill. Always enjoyed his post match interviews on gmr and one late night one when drink had deffo been taken. Straight talker and a likeable bloke. Onwards and upwards. Edited August 31, 2019 by tshape
BWFC_LOVE 56
Wanted Nolan. Gutted for him. Thought Hill was a properly bitter cunt last time we played Rochdale in the league at this level. Nonetheless, I’m pleased with the appointment now it’s been announced. Time to get behind him.
wakey 57
Happy with that. Experienced - and at this level - reputation for decent footie, seemingly well liked by Rochdale fans. And nice to have a couple of local lads in charge.
DomRepWanderer 178
Rochdale fans saying best manager they've ever had, makes some strange decisions, and his post match comments leaves a lot to be desired, wait and see, but no choice other that to get right behind him and Flitcroft
rochdale white 20
Best option for me. Obviously a lot of time for Nolan but in our position I think Hill is the obvious choice.
boltondiver 1,367
Where in Bolton is he from?
Site Supporter Tonge moor green jacket 1,565 Posted August 31, 2019 Site Supporter Share Posted August 31, 2019 Whichever was appointed, for me it was the most important first signing. Before players makes obvious sense; let him get who he wants.

DLH 15
Not unhappy with this at all. Still would have like Nobby to be honest but Hills a decent choice... liking the speed that FV have done this though needed it to be quick
snowball 344
100% behind Hilly and Flitcroft. Reasonable choice in circumstances. More experienced than Nolan and he really did work miracles with a Rochdale team who had never been out of Div 4. Excited now lets have a real go at staying up and enjoying supporting the lads in white shirts whoever comes in or back this week!

Burndens Bogs 515
“Keeef Hills super white army” has a nice ring to it. We’re heading lower leagues, then we’re heading back up. Looking forward to it TBH.

BWFC_LOVE 56
I feel exactly the same as I did when Allardyce got appointed. I was only 10 and had no idea who he was, despite knowing he played for us and had done a good job elsewhere. I was gutted that Phil Brown didn’t get the job after a good caretaker record. However I was cautiously optimistic. Gutted Nolan didn’t get it, yet I’m cautiously optimistic again. Another step towards solidarity and rebuilding. Excited for the next chapter. paulhanley 574
I think this is the correct appointment for our current situation and the high likelihood of League 2 next season. It feels like the right fit with what seems like the homespun approach of Football Ventures. Hill won't have had fortunes to spend, he'll know how to scout lower leagues for good players, he knows the League 1 and League 2 scene very well, he plays good football and he's twice had a promotion from League 2. I hope everyone will be patient with them. We need to build slowly towards next Summer when we can seriously start building a club with momentum again. Might change the signings strategy over the next 48 hours if any of Hill's former players/favourites are out of contract or otherwise available.
dave2980 51
Hill or Nobby for me. I'm happy with the choice COYFWM!
hughmungus 59
Not sure but probably the best we could have got in our current position.
