A year suffering; try other things obviously, but don't wholly reject anything. Get the firepit going too and have some relaxation. If you need any logs, let me know. Not in Crawley
Really? I think companies are better than ever. Tomorrow I've got an afternoon off - mental wellness, you get a afternoon a month but you should use it for yourself - a hobby, volunteering, whatever. Going to a museum. Let me finish early to pick the kids up when I have to, no need to make the time back. Got furlough to home school the kids with no pay deduction. Its pretty good, and a lot of companies I know are the same. Mental health is much higher on HR agenda's than ever.

Been going on for a long time. Lots more protection around now, but no doubt shit still goes on- this fire and rehire bollocks for example. For me, societal changes more widely contribute significantly to our mental health. Populatioj density, social media, the pace of life and instant gratification, 24 hr 7 days a week, poor diet, lack of exercise, and a lack of genuine quality family time. Folk rushing round all over the country working, compressing so much into a short period of time.

It's never 9-5. Although I know that easy with afternoons off for health, cocktail hour each Friday, stuff like that. I do wonder when other places will catch up? You're right though I am very lucky, and that does look rather clumsy.
alibob
Just a bit of advice: don’t rule out medication. Its not a weakness to take tablets. (20mg citalopram here) don’t rule out counselling. Talking therapy can be really useful, don’t feel guilty if you decide to go down this path.

Wait ages for the clouds to pass then feel a cunt for enjoying yourself in the short periods that they do. I'm finding there's no rules to it and almost no advice you can be given that truly helps, just know you've a forum full here of people who will try anyway 🙂

They both survived 20 odd years as widows/widowers after early deaths of my other grandparents but went this year... I've thought about them loads this year (and my other grandparents)... It's shit. Site Supporter Tonge moor green jacket Posted October 24, 2021 Site Supporter Share Posted October 24, 2021 There's no easy answer, use the love of your family to help. Talk, cry or laugh together. Stay strong together. Come out the other side together.
