2019, wife going down at full time to collect a flag left by Leighwhites as he's apparently left without it. She found him at the rear of the stand and gave him his flag and he looked at her wondering why she'd taken it off the seats at half time.

Er, half time was 45 minutes ago! 🤣

Going on the football special train in 76, winning 1-0 and going top of the league, going in the cup in 95 getting arrested and not getting home till Sunday.

I think 76 was the League Liner. Thanks to the "League Review" announcing where the LL was going, there were Pompey fans filling the last station ( Havant ? ) & a big mob waiting at Fratton but fortunately, when they saw that there were few "lads " on the train they left it. After we'd won it was a scary walk back to the station but once we were back & lined up behind police outside the station, we got brave & taunted the Pompey fans . They told us they were going to brick the train......& next station up, they did, with plenty windows going through. The players were on the train & iirc John Byrom had a few drinks with the fans. Happy days.

Qualifying for Europe there, was that a Sunday ? cos we stayed over in Winchester the night before one Pompey game, & a midweek pasting in the prem which made it a bastard long journey back & a bad decision to drive straight back, were others.

Overall, one of the best away trips & they're a proper set of fans. Mostly through Ferny there's been a friendly connection with Bolton fans being looked after down there & vice-versa .....I remember Westy's (?) top hat flying across the Griffin but it was quickly smoothed over. :)

Was that the night they wandered in when most of us were still supping up in the last pub & a few weapons were drawn from under the card table?  Remember them being quite pale when we got there 😁

Going in their main boozer to raise a glass for ferny and being told we were the only away fans to be allowed in there since time began.

Milan Manderic came in and did a speech stood on a table.

Stayed there for two nights, ended up looking at ships with my dad at one point, was the only 4 white people in a black Rnb club at another. Singing diouf will spit on you in a nightclub at closing with 50 or so others was a particular highlight.

Like casino that’s about it from a bolton perspective.

Their celebration when they took the lead at Highbury v Arsenal in the cup was ridiculous.

Mandaric stuck a couple of hundred quid behind the bar when he left.

Possibly !! A lot of Bolton fans were already in the Griffin, half who had been to the game & knew the Pompey lot were with Ferny & co, but also half, including Barney, who had been in the pubs all day. When some Pompey fans came in, Westy's blue & white checked top hat got thrown across the room ( i don't know if it was horseplay or a bit more ) & landed on Barney. For a moment the piano player stopped playing & it got a bit tense  but enough people knew they were with Ferny & calmed it all down.

We were mooching behind them so it was over when we got it, got told Kev G & Co had pulled weapons from under the seats... A few of the Pompey lads were certainly shaken up 😁

Went to the cup game, got so pissed that I fell asleep in the seats. Woke up and thought we’d got a draw.

Missed two of their goals though...

Running back for the train and my mate dropped the burger from his bun. He looked at the burger, looked at me, looked back at the burger and then stuffed it back and ate the fucking lot! 😝

We had a minutes silence for him, should imagine it was the same game.
