passmosster 18
A typical League 2 team would be better organised and out battle us ATM even if they didn't have the players. I don't see why you have to plan 10 years ahead in the January transfer window. Do what you can this season and then start planning in the summer. Couldn't see Macc going to Lincoln and getting thumped 5-1.

The TEAM may not be good enough to stay in this division (was it ever going to be) , but I have high hopes for the future even if we dont bounce straight back up next season. The TEAM is the last thing we should be concerned about at this stage in our phoenix like rise from the brink of oblivion . We have a club and its still OUR club . As for tonight , harsh but shit happens , with 7 minutes to go we were still in it. BTW can anyone explain to me what that drop ball was about 5 mins into the second half as it nearly started a fight in the pub . Not me obvs. Congratulations on the first positive post of the night, unfortunately it's all shite, it's not just about tonight, it's about how we are going backwards and still getting twatted every week and how he sets up a team, it's about his substitutions and his deluded pre and post match interviews, he's digging his way out slowly and I fear for us in League 2, he isn't proving to be the steady Eddie he was made out to be. Walkden White 31
I don’t think Phil ‘ what’s his name’ would have us as bad as this! I’m normally pretty relaxed with Managers but he’s got till early Feb for me

Site Supporter Cheese 879 Posted January 14, 2020 Site Supporter Share Posted January 14, 2020 (edited) Football Ventures have obviously, and rightly, budgetted for League 2 next season. I think most people accepted that from the start, as Keith Hill did initially. In the early stages of his reign it was "We're not looking at the table" and "We're taking it 1 game at a time" - which is how it should've stayed. A couple of decent results sent him in the wrong direction in my opinion. This season was a write-off before a ball was kicked. Too many (entirely understandable) emotions have crept in. waddy256 43
Im clearly in the minority but i genuinely think the team is doing the best it can and Im also happy to still have a club when I was sure we were in the bin . Im not happy with defeats or the way this season is going but did anyone really expect any different ? I remember the 80's with songs of "there's only one man trying" etc and Im glad we are not there again. Maybe its cos I was born in Burnley and went to school in Blackburn and lived in Accrington , Im used to vitriol from everyone , the only support I ever got was from me dad and his never let the bastards grind you down bollocks . BUT whilst im now old and infirm , im still proud as fuck of MY club and no one will take that away from me . I also dont get the lets change managers every 12 months or less just in case we hit on the next Bruce Rioch .
