Not long now before the clocks go back. Hate the thought of it going dark at 4pm, but once you get used to it, it’s not that bad. it's

about time they abolished moving the clocks.

It’s shit

we should move the country, it just shouldn’t be allowed

It's a pain in the arse , going to and coming from work in the dark is something I never can get used to.

Here's a suggestion. Work slightly reduced hours in winter, and longer in summer.

Used to be a practice in local government grounds maintenance. Made sense when individuals were focussed solely on parks etc, as it would become too dark.

What do folk think?

In theory a good idea , but from a personal level I need more free hours in summer .

I've got quite large Lawns and Borders plus my Veg plots so I kind of need more free hours in summer , and then there's midweek car meets ,  and the missus can't seem to stay in the fucking house and seems to want to drag me around too.but like i say with different circumstances a good idea.

All fair points. Just a question on world mental.health day.

Whilst people are travelling to work or.for.it, and frequently office or factory based, then exposure to daylight is reduced.

Perhaps a means by which folk could get outside for a walk or a bit of personal downtime in the shorter days would go some way to alleviating some of the issues.

Not an easy fix for sure.

This side of January I love it, afterwards not so much. Few things better than an afternoon walk in early winter, low sun, crisp blue sky, crunchy grass.

After Christmas and New year though fucking hell kill me now.

It's been anything but so far, and not looking like it's going to change any time soon

As a kid I loved the winter months. Now I'm older it's depressing getting up to darkness and the weather that accompanies it. I'm already counting down the days to spring. Funny enough I couldn't care less if its dark and -10 if I'm getting up to go to a match.
