Fleetwood (H)

Like others thought we looked like a proper team today with everyone knowing their part. Far from outstanding but a great effort. Rather than us backing off second half I thought Fleetwood were very good and showed why they are high up the table.

Credit to Luke Murphy who I thought had another good game and I am prepared to admit I was wrong as I'd written him off.

Most pleasing thing for me today was I thought they put a lot of decent deliveries into our box and we managed to deal with them in one way or another.

The bloke falling on the mesh that DazBobParr mentioned was fantastic though and definitely ran the last ditch defending a close second.

Great win against a good team for this level.
Politic was a strange one Doodo looked tired.
The ref......did not give us 50/50 all day. The 2 booked for diving dived again. Then the C/forward kicked the keeper in the head and not even booked.

Straight from the Joey Barton trickbook.

A win, first I've seen since March. I reckon we can stay up

I think it was simply a case of making a tactical change. There won't be any public criticism of Politic if Hill's body language on the touchline is anything to go on. He seemed to make an effort to go out of his way to shake his hand.

I'm with you. It was a tactical change and nothing more. More legs in Graham for closing the ball down in midfield, keep the big lads on for defending set pieces. Politic gave a pissed off smirk infront of us when his number went up but I'm sure he'll know it was nowt personal.

Zouma played with a little too much confidence at 2-1 when he allowed that pass to run on to a fleetwood player. Heart in mouth time.

He does but Hill encourages that, i know a lot of folk not keen on him but in my eyes once he irons out his decision making he could be very special.

Politic went straight down the tunnel so certainly didn’t seem happy, but he did acknowledge Hill who, as mentioned, had made a deliberate attempt to shake his hand so don’t think there’s too much to read in to it.

Coming through those hairy last few minutes and getting the win is going to do wonders for everyone’s confidence, particularly in defence.

Lowe was superb, just as he was at Bristol Rovers, but O’Grady shaded it as MOM for me, purely for his work rate and playing in maybe a slightly unfamiliar position.

Not a lot we can do about the deduction - whenever it eventually arrives - but maintain this sort of form and unity and it will be worth 10 points at the start of next season.

A very good win against possibly the best team we've played against so far this season. Bit scary at the end, but we did have chances to make it three.

Good performances all round, but Lowe an easy choice for M-O-M.

I'm with VaVa, a good performance, but we ran out of steam and they upped their game in the last half hour. I thought Lowe was  MOM but I was impressed with O'Grady again. He took his goal very well. A couple of months ago nobody would have chased that ball.

Lowe for me mom.OGrady close second canny experienced player.Murphy showed more comittment today in midfield than all of last season so maybe Hill can get a tune out of him

Zouma gives me heart flutters but ultimately will have the gonads to suceed played well today as did our rightback who could be a real find if he continues to improve.

Wont be that unhappy if Verliden goes back in january reminds me of De Silva can beat a man easily & then do it again & follow that with a shit cross .Couple that with his crappy backtracking & I think we can get a better option.

Good team performance & we didnt break at the end so onwards & upwards.

That’s good. I’m touch and go as to whether I can make it so haven’t bought a ticket. If I make it I wonder if they’ll let me move to the corner between NSL and WSL which is my preferred spot nowadays??

Penty o room there. I'm Row Z in the corner. Never saw a steward today after a steward overload on Tuesday.

Fucking great result.

Lowe is like another fucking player. He was beyond shit last year and is playing out of his skin this season.

I'm worried about injuries but I hope we fucking get close to staying up. Get everyone who tanked us 5 nil panicking!

Jason Lowe superb, good to see a league  one  Kevin Davies (Chris OG) on the same day as the old Kevin Davies was present.

Yeah i thought that when i saw KD at ht it was a proper workman goal chasing everything and knicking the ball to score.

Jason lowe and murphy up front with a sweet goal that he almost walked into the net leaving me having palpitations that he would get tackled.

I don't think so

They both had a word with him when he got back

It was just an effort to shut up shop, I think.

Oh, I wasn't assuming, just wondering.

If it was purely a tactical substitution then Hill gets a lot of credit from me, as he's thinking purely about the team and the result rather than worrying about bruising an ego.

The way i saw it,Murphy got lucky with his goal because it looked like he'd fucked it up initially, then their keeper kicked the ball onto him + it went in the net.

O'Gradys goal just looked like a predatory striker being smart.

I know i might be alone in saying this, but i actually love Keith Hills interviews and could listen to him all day - especially when we've won.

The man has such enthusiasm and is always so positive.

Onwards and upwards.

Strikers the wrong way round surely?

Thought our stewards were great today in the away end, they must have chucked half of the Cod army out and there wasn't lots of them anyway.

When we played them a few years ago, they were placid and nothing like they were today. I did wonder if any Bury fans had come along or maybe it's just the barton effect.

He was brilliant throughout - really calm and composed, but then had a rather rash last ten. No worse than Wright though. Impressed with YZ today.

Disappointing 2nd half, thought we sat back, stopped chasing and invited them on, but still absolutely made up with the win.

Well taken 2nd goal, thought he was going to run it out of play.

Ref was a disgrace.

I don’t think we sat back... just think a few of the players, especially the front 3, were absolutely bollocksed, hence the ball coming back a lot.

Absolutely. Immense for the most part. Did get a bit giddy at the end, but we were under the cosh somewhat.
