Site Supporter Tonge moor green jacket Posted November 27, 2019 Site Supporter Share Posted November 27, 2019 BN saying interest in building 280 homes on the site. A really pleasant walk to the match for Lostock residents could be mashed! Good or bad idea?

It isn’t well used these days I expect the public footpath will be retained.

Maybe it's a bridleway as it's used by cyclists? Could be diverted a bit, but can't be closed without particularly specific evidence (which there isn't at the moment) eg security/major crime etc. Would be a shame though, BN comments about the biodiversity and green belt status. The importance of which is becoming more understood daily.

My main concern is that Bolton Council aren’t good historically at improving infrastructure That said, we now have a Conservative council, so that might help.
