Moderators Casino Posted December 27, 2019 Author Moderators Share Posted December 27, 2019 Obviously they have to sign off on any deal, but I think they'll be very careful what they agree to Its not the top bods I have issue with, it's the club's pulling the strings

ErnestTurnip
Internet suggests loans are up on the 5th so in theory they could play.
tomski
Win this we’ve had a good Christmas. Lose or draw and it’ll have been a poor one imo
Blondi
If we're playing Luke Murphy and Sonny Graham in midfield, we'll lose, irrelevant what we lose by btw.

Lose or draw and it’ll have been a poor one imo A win means a great Christmas. A defeat (1 point in 2 home games) is unacceptable for any team. A draw and the jury is out, at half time v Shrewsbury a draw looked a bad result, but it became a good battling point with plenty positives. It all depends how the match goes, Wimbledon at home, nobody wanted a draw before the game, but when you score in the 95th minute you're buzzing. I just want a positive feeling after the game whether its a point or 3 because its a long time till the next one.
ErnestTurnip
As bad as we've been we have only lost twice at home this season, if we had anything like that form away we'd be right in the mix with the games in hand. Apologies for being a bit positive, must be a year end thing.
Moderators Casino Posted December 31, 2019 Author Moderators Share Posted December 31, 2019 Iles piece suggests Graham is going to be asked to replace Lowe Fair enough in the absence of owt better Some very well timed words of support for the 17 year old asking for no negativity from the stands I'm just wondering how he squares that with his public criticism of certain players In my naivity I'd expect an esteemed journalist to perhaps query the double standards

For me, Keith seems a decent bloke, but not sure he's the brightest at times. However, so long as the job gets done, then that's fair enough. It's asking a lot for Graham to do such a big job tomorrow though. Edited December 31, 2019 by Tonge moor green jacket
marple whites
If the 11 players picked put as best a shift in as as they can - we can ask no more the second half against Shrewsbury wasn’t great - but my god they put their bodies on the line and worked their socks off. You can’t ask for more than that

Site Supporter Tonge moor green jacket Posted December 31, 2019 Site Supporter Share Posted December 31, 2019 (edited) Is playing a 17 year old who doesn't appear ready, above more senior, arguably better (for the moment) players something that's going to keep up good morale, and benefit the young lad in the long run? Hope I'm not reading too much into it all. Edited December 31, 2019 by Tonge moor green jacket

Of course. He makes the decisions, and ultimately will be judged on the success of them. I suppose my main concern is what it could do for Graham's confidence and career. He could have nearly 20 years ahead of him if he comes good. Just hope he's looked after early doors.

ErnestTurnip
Can't go today but even with the current lack of players I'm going for 2-1, they've lost 3 out of the last 4 aways and Clough has chipped in to give us even more motivation to beat them.
