Wright has had some decent games. His positioning has been spot on at times and he's made some top last ditch tackles/blocks. He was fucking poor today though for them 2 goals. Made it simple for them, let them both do exactly what they wanted to.

Was it a game too far for him and maybe some others?

Plenty more to come this month too.

Knew as soon as we went two up we were in for a tricky afternoo  - I didn't quite expect Burton to get three in the first half though. Some abysmal defending all round, I thought Chicksen was the only one from the back four to come out with any credit today.

Also, are people actually calling for Hill's head? Pathetic.

This would have been a great game to watch as a neutral, but we're Bolton fans so it was fooking shit at times. Don't know what Hill was thinking sticking a midget up top on his own after D Murphy was subbed, surely Chris O'grady or even Joe Scooby Doo should have been swithched there.

Think we badly need a couple of decent central defenders that can actually defend and a couple of decent central midfielders sharpish, but can't see it happening, we've just 2 free places in this squad and we're bottom of the table.

You could blame him for signing the shit we have but he didn't have long and couldn't buy players. We are OK going forward but you need a tight back 4 plus a couple of midfield players breaking up the play; our players no matter what you do on the training ground are not even League 2 standard

Which of today's squad isnt league 2 standard, apart from Weir?  I'd guess we'd maximise what we have if players played in their correct position. At one point we had a centre forward (O'Grady) on the left wing, a centre forward (Dodoo) on the right wing and a small winger at centre forward.  Then Politic, a central midfielder all day long, finally gets 20 minutes, but on the wing, with Weir inexplicably left on the pitch.  When Politic came inside we saw what his game is all about, scoring a good goal and having another disallowed.  Poor use of the squad not just today but in every game from Accrington onwards.

And the ref and the wsl linesman, utter spunk

2 shirt pulling fouls for us = 2 yellow cards

1 from them; not a yellow

Biased or just poor?

Are the EFL trying to knobble us on the pitch as they can’t in the courts?

I’m not one for conspiracy theories, but on this occasion I’m willing to agree. The ref was criminal today.

That was mentioned today near us. An EFL conspiracy to get us down as they fear without the assistance of a few refs it isn't yet a done deal. It'll all come out in some fucker's autobiography in twenty years time.

I was level with the lino for the disallowed goal. I didn’t think he was off. I had had a few Guinnesses though.

Darcy played well
Dodoos goal looked class.

Verlinden is never ever a centre forward, that was crazy.

At 2-0 why did we start to sit back and let them come at us?

For the first 10 minutes dodoo had their back 4 panicking by running at them then we decided to slow the tempo and sit back.

Hill should now go and shake Luke Murphy's hand because he's given hill his excuse for not winning the game.Tactics and personal are now starting to baffle me.Hope I'm wrong but I'm beginning to get a feeling of this job is to big for him

Until we can defend we will do nowt. The defending on show today was comical.

I’m sick of the he’s only had 3/4 months. It doesn’t take that long to drill a team to defend properly.

Our fans our too placid.  Just seem to be accepting of the current situation.

I’ve lost count of the amount of strikers I’ve seen against us that I’d like to see in a white shirt. Their no.10 lead the line brilliantly first half.

Delighted with Murphy, but there’s a wide array of decent front men in this league; as shit as the standard is anyway.

It's decent midfielders and perhaps a good centre half we're short of. Winning it back quicker, and setting the tone for the front men to attack.

This, but other teams also use them to hold the ball up and get payers around them.

When have we used Murphy like this? , it's almost exusively big high balls for flick ons or it to the channels. Is it really so difficult to work an opening to dink it up to a target man's chest?

Do they look that good because we’re awful at the back though?

Im not convinced with a single defender we have. That’s the biggest worry for me.

Spot on

I could score goals against our defence

No manager could get these to mark players

Like Chicksen but the rest are garbage

It's a back 4 that was thrown together on transfer deadline day and with the exception of Emmanuel, they all have someone in front of them when fit and well.  This same defence kept a clean sheet and kept the opposition down to 1 with 10 men in our last two games. Chicksen, Earle and Wright can all do much better but days like today are why they're with us on short term deals.
