Has Keef revealed whether D Murph was injured hence the otherwise baffling substitution?

Also, jeans and trainers. He should dress for the job.

I couldn't give a fuck how he dresses as long as he does the job.

Kin ell mate remember when the sunshine bus brigade asked Dougie Freedman to wear a suit because a manager should be in a suit

How was he out of position?  Central midfield, that's his position.  In front of back 4 in 1st half, swapped with Murphy to push further forward 2nd half.  Poor at both.  Politic would love to play the role Weir had in 2nd half.  Simply a better footballer irrespective of position - tackling, workrate, skill to beat a man, strength, passing long and short, shooting.  I just dont get how he's been overlooked in favour of Weir today.

He's not very good full stop, but he's certainly not suited to playing the role Lowe and Murphy do, to protect the defensive line. He plays wide on the left or in a central attacking midfield role.

Politic can't play the roles that Lowe and Murphy do either, which is why it made no sense to play him in place of Weir.

Hill having a bit of a pop at folk leaving at 4-2?

Regardless of my views on Hill the owners need to move heaven and earth to bring in new players, ones who are capable of improving us, we have to give it our best shot of staying up, it’s difficult but still possible.

The issue we have is that it seems the rest of the EFL seem to have a new hatred for us. Are they likely to loan us decent players who have the capability of keeping us in a league they think we're should have followed Bury out of?

We had a spell in the first half when we must have put twenty or more passes together and were still in our own half.

From memory all of their goals came between our centre backs.

On a positive note the White Rat in TotH was spot on.

Was pleasantly surprised to discover White Rat in TOTH recently - an excellent pint ...

On a connected matter , this newly launched " White Horse"  ale that Bank Top Brewery  have produced exclusively for BWFC  that is now on sale in the Hotel and at the ground ..anyone tried it ? .... whats the verdict ?

Only ask because someone ( who should know ) in the Hotel Bar told me on New Years Eve when we asked for a pint that its not quite what it appears to be ... and that all Bank Top have done is simply rebadge some of its " Flat Cap " ale on behalf of the club ?

Anyone know If there is any truth in this ?

They already brew half a dozen beers that taste exactly the same, so one more isn’t going to make a difference.

It's called marketing.

They produced one for my former colleague Steve Morris who suffered 80% burns in a fire at Littleholme Walk,  Bolton.

It sold out because everyone wanted to have a pint of Steve's ale; I can't even remember what they called it!

Top and bottom was that they re-badged an existing real ale, printed a pump badge and that was it. It sold a barrel in a three hour period compared with flat cap that's probably going to take a week or so to sell.

He needs to give his head a wobble. I know we can’t say he’s a bit shit because “we are lucky to have a club” but you will never get folk happy clapping on a cold New Year’s Day.

if we offered a bit or organisation it would be ok. The defending is just woeful. They could at least be coached to move as a unit

On a side note I know the atmosphere is not good at the best of times but fuck me you could hear a pin drop for most part of the game yesterday

It’s same even in the premier league these days at most games you can hear players shouting in most games,  today’s fans in comparison to the old skool fan is different as chalk and cheese, thank fuck I experienced the 70s.

Went in the Fanzone yesterday for the first time in a couple of seasons. Fuck mop! What a soulless, depressing place that is.

Three security guards on the doors waving metal detectors and, apparently, explosive sniffers at and around me. I happened to quip, "Bloody hell, more security here than actually getting in the ground!"

You'd have thought I'd dropped an envelope of cat shit on his shoes or similar.

He glared at me and asked me why I'd said that. I pointed out that it was because the security to have a beer was greater than to watch a football game and that I found it strange.

He glared a bit harder and told me that his job is to keep me safe from folk with blades or explosives.

I get that and told him. But then added that it's nice to have some level of conversation between customers and staff.

Fuck me, by this time he really was at the extent of his glaring.

Dear BWFC, give your security staff (not club stewards, by the way) some customer service training.
