ErnestTurnip
Few drinks at home with wife and kids, maybe a bit of tv and some dicking about, few coffees, see 12 in with everyone, bit of something herbal and then bed. Don't really see it as anything other than a Tuesday night with Wednesday off work really.

Yeah, that must've been it. Got the train from Dublin to Bray. Then got picked up and driven through the countryside to the lake. It was nice scenery. We've had a day walking over to Omey Island and pottering along the Sky Road around Connemara. Early meal booked for 6.30pm then off for some Irish hospitality in Lowry's bar for the rest of the evening... Sláinte. Wishing everyone a great evening and a fantastic 2020! I’m jealous, lovely part of the world. not sure of your itinerary /time but if you get chance get the ferry cruise on Lough Corrib into Cong /Ashford Castle , where the quiet man was filmed, if you like that sort of stuff it’s great, but it’s a lovely cruise and little town even if you’ve never seen it and lunch in Ashford castle will get you loads of brownie points. Maybe just a little far , and loads around you but if you are looking for something to do I’d recommend that
L/H White
just going round a mates for a massive game of uno done casino a few times, went lakes last year not really for me tbh, as leyther said, paying to get in your local pubs and double fair taxis isn't for me these days millar & Carter for a meal tomorrow before the darts final and that's it all done for another year
MancWanderer
Staying in. Always do. Chinese from M&S with a couple of bottles of NZ Sauvignon Blanc. Thankfully Mrs Manc is of the same opinion as me and doesn’t want an overpriced meal and forced “fun” at a restaurant, paying to get in to a scrotey pub or paying quadruple Uber pricing My birthday in Jan so we save our money and go off for a long weekend somewhere. Done Ireland before so was actually thinking of either Kinsale or Connamara Coast again in a few weeks time

It’s of it’s time as they say. Today, people would say it’s offensive to alcoholics, people suffering from dementia and low skilled workers. 🤷♂️

Went seeing that old fella earlier. Had to put on an apron and rubber gloves for infection control. I was so conscious every time I wanted to cough! He's doing ok though, and has a window view so hopefully he'll see the new year fire works!

freds dad
Woke up this morning feeling rough but SWMBO dragged me to John Lewis as they may have something in the sale that she needs. I lasted 15 minutes then went back to the car where I fell asleep. Back home at 2 o'clock and straight to bed until 7.30. Quick hot toddy and I'm back in bed until the morning. Have a great night everyone.
stevieb
Going out on New years eve is shite. It was shite when you were a teenager when you actually consider it and its doubly shite now. Edinburgh Street party though is different gravy if you get the chance.
