Does anyone think we have a defined style of play that the youngsters could emulate? Why not say that in the original tweet or report? He knows exactly what sort of reaction the first tweet would have caused. One or two little comments on the podcast make me think he's not a great fan of Hill either, certainly no fan of what he says and how he says it. I reckon any local sports journo, particularly one held in the high esteem that Iles obviously is, soundbytes from Hill would be a godsend. Farnywhite Posted February 15, 2020 Share Posted February 15, 2020 (edited) My main problem with hill is I am not convinced that tactically he knows what he is doing .But on the other hand he is stuck with a group of players who are probably not good enough may be mentally weak so he has to try and keep them on side so is comments about being “ proud of there effort “ etc is just to keep them going till April we all know we’re down but if they throw the towel in and we start loosing games by 5 goals again he knows he will be following them out the door in the summer . Although the kids were way off early doors, it was clear they had been coached to play football. Perhaps the first team could look to replicate this. At L2 level KH has performed at a standard that would have got promotion in 2 out of the last 15 seasons. KH says there is a 10 yr plan for the club. If the owners decide we are getting relegated and that KH will manage to better his best performances and get promoted at the first attempt they will then need to sack him so we can progress. Brand Bolton has died a death already so why keep him on unless they really can't attract someone better and if that's the case then I really fear we are in the situ Meldrew has mentioned more than once where we might well end up the next Stockport.
