Site Supporter Tonge moor green jacket Posted January 15, 2020 Site Supporter Share Posted January 15, 2020 There is an advert on the club's website for a groundsperson. Dunno if anyone is interested, but I thought I'd put it on here. https://www.bwfc.co.uk/news/2020/january/vacancy-groundsperson/

I could be wrong, but don't think I am, but sports pitch maintenance isn't exactly the most friendly from an environmental point of view. Golf courses are shocking. Indeed. Big issue with golf courses is the scale and lots of leaching into water courses. In turn, it produces heavy algae growth and damage to eco systems. Would imagine football pitches are a bit less impactful, but it's a big area nevertheless. To be honest, I'd expect them to cut the Reebok's grass daily: there's been that much shit on it recently!
