Right - I'm just going to say that I find this applauding health workers thing a bit cringey.

Me too, even though i appreciate the work they do.

I just think there must be a better way of showing our appreciation

My Mrs is front line NHS and seems to find it all a bit embarrassing.

If you live in an apartment block I sorta get it.

But not across a British street

I guess the thinking is, if a business is tgat new that you have never paid a penny of tax then you can’t really expect the HMRC to come in

So would they consider if you had a job and paid taxes?

I've been freelance 2.5 years, dunno what im due, so hoping @Biggish Dave has me covered, which I'm sure he has

The big grey area is what happens to dividends in the income reckoning. I watched a webinar today from our training provider, the tax expert is trying to get clarification from the government as to the best way forward. Rest assured I’ll be searching for answers because it affects me too

"I didn't pay myself in dividends to pay a lower rate of income tax, I did it because Chris Custard made me."

Aye alreet.

You have to pay corporation tax mate,  19% on any profit and Income tax pal just like employed and self employex people. You get a tax free dividend of 2k a year, which works out at about £600 more in your pocket, but you have to either be a basic accountant or pay someone to do your accounts. It's not a tax dodge.

That was unexpected. Popped my head out to see if this "Clap for Carers" thing would actually happen, and it did.

It was a very solidarity feeling

I went out and had a clap with the missus (she's NHS as well so said ta). Felt like shouting "Come on!" After it though like you would at the match 😂

Had the same feeling. Very uplifting. We should do this more often. Fireworks going off now too.

To be fair I know it's not as advantageous as it used to be. Dont you avoid the NI though as well?

This virus is certainly nailing a few folk

No fucker begging now outside Morrisons, Co-op, train station, every set of lights near the centre, etc

No unruly folk outside the Balmoral at 10am

Street crime is down

Tax dodging self employed being torn a new one

No gangs of kids on street corners

Prostitution is fucked

Rivers etc being cleaned

And Jol gets an extra 12 months to save up his £100  😉💣

Well played Boris.......✌💪🇬🇧

Wonder if beggars and traffic light monitors are going to get an 80% furlough. :unknw:
