Whilst I agree that people getting off these Planes need to be checked, you have to consider the fact that 90% of the Aircraft currently flying (Passenger Aircraft, NOT Cargo Aircraft) are repatriation flights, where the Passengers have been tested prior to boarding, or Passenger Aircraft only carrying cargo. Emirates, as an example is flying alongside its fleet of B777 Freighters a sub fleet of B777 Passenger Aircraft purely using the Lower Cargo Compartments with no Passengers at all. Austrian Airlines have an approval from EASA to fly their Passenger Aircraft with boxes on the Passenger Seats held down by Cargo Nets attached to the Seat Tracks. The demand for Air Cargo is massive right now. The 14 B777 Freighters I look after in Leipzig are maxed out. Normally on Thursdays and Mondays I have some of them in the Hangar on longer Maintenance inputs, but at the moment they are just coming in and go back out again pretty much as quickly as possible with only the mandatory Maintenance performed. Pay the fine off 5 quid per week or something. I have no idea what else you can do. There aren't enough Police to "police" all of this. Trying to suggest that hundreds of deaths a day and rising is a fraction of the average deaths a day is nonsense. It’s like saying a nuclear war that kills 10,000 people a day is fine because 50,000 die a day any way. These deaths are people dying in hospital on ventilators. Mainly people who wouldn’t have died this week, month or year otherwise. And the issue is that this disease can easily infect us all so multiplying the small % over an entire population is disastrous. They speak of curtailing freedom as though it isn’t for our own good.
