And while i dont believe it, ive heard of one business thats getting tested this week

Ill report back when i know more

For the love of god please let it be teachers / nursery nurse! After healthcare professionals obvs.

Working from home and having kids (6 and 2 - shit names) to homeschool and entertain is not possible.

A million? You not think that might be too many?

Perhaps

Go on then, planning by hindsight; what else might we need plenty of just in case?

🤕

I've got so little work done, as soon as I get my spreadsheets up, my 5 year old appears telling me he is hungry..

Planning lessons for next year, when I might not even be there !

I smashed out my dissertation over the last two months thinking I wouldn’t have time because of work. I’ve done it all and now I’m at home with sod all to do but it’s just as well because my two year old is like my shadow.

Even now, I have an occasional dream where I'm panicking about my finals. Wakes me up every time and then I remembered it's done and dusted and I can relax.

In decades to come you'll be dreaming happy endings to a nightmare- a young kiddie appears and twats the fuck out of some nebulous virus like alien thing.

Finals were horrible. Dissertation in my masters was stressful. I’m reasonably relaxed about Viva voce but I think it’s because the world is a bit mad now. It’ll be reet 😁

Both my kids have had an absolute meltdown tonight.

I thought I’d shielded them from the true ins and outs of what’s going on but they are full aware.

They miss their friends, they’re scared that mum and die might die, they’re sick of not doing all the activities they do.

They’re heartbroken and see no end to it.

Whatever it takes, we need to get fucking rid of this, and quick.

And you can tell them from all of us we will mate. That’s an absolute certainty.

My little lads bored shitless and really missing his mates. That's tough for a 6 year old. Even wore his school jumper on Sunday.

My 2 year old hasn't been arsed but we put 'wind the bobbin up' on the TV earlier that they sing at nursery and she got all sad and sat down. She's not been for 3 weeks now.

Broke my heart to see my toddler in lockdown on holiday. And then same again at home. No interaction with anyone her own age. Can't play with the neighbours kid. Can't see grandparents, aunties or uncles or sisters. More meltdowns than a Ukrainian nuclear reactor this last week or two.

Its just a shit sandwich with a side order of rancid elephant jizz and a large cup of donkey piss.

And god only knows how my 18 year is facing up to it all in her mind. Just started driving lessons. Cancelled. About to sit her A-levels. Cancelled. Can't work part-time (restaurant). Can't go out partying. Clubbing. Drinking with mates. Its like she's been grounded but is 100% innocent and we don't believe her! And all the festivals and gigs this summer are being cancelled.

Fuck me, the summer of 1990 when I was 18 was the best year of my life.

My lads loving it he’s up till late 11-30 he’s set his alarm for 8-45 cracks on with his school work, finishes homework about lunch, weights and exercise, bite to eat then plays games with his mates on the computer until about 4pm goes out for a walk with me and his mum for about 90 minutes, kick about in garden then has tea and spends couple of hours taking to mates, down stairs for goggle box or something that makes him laugh and then off to bed.

I do miss work. I miss seeing security when I drive in, the catering staff when I walk through, my team, the kit lads, the playing staff the doctors.

You forget how many people you see on a day to day basis, you take it for granted, the people you work with you see more than your family.

I hope there are smart fuckers working on how to stop this ASAP.

Got to me a bit today.

Collecting shopping- was the easy bit (apart from not touching face after loading the car until hand sanitiser) then delivering to 4 other households. Impersonal, all at a distance. Back home, more hand sanitiser.

A young woman walks past in the street, on her phone in bits, something about not being able to see someone. Then I learn a friend's sister is seriously ill with it. And another neighbour has lost an acquaintance to it, and knows 2 others infected.

Then 563 in total here.

Might have to chop some wood tomorrow.
