And if I see any more stupid bastarda shopping with masks and gloves on, I'm going to tut and shake my head more vigorously than usual. Thick fuckers.

I can understand that, even if it just makes them feel better. Can't get my head round someone out for a walk in the woods/fields with one on. No one near them.

Who would you test, patients or staff?

Clearly theres not enough tests or labs to process them to do both

Fwiw, the 'have you got it test' is a bit of a waste of time, imo

Potentially, a nurse is going to need testing tens and tens of times before we get through them all

We are never to have the capacity to do this

For me, it looks like until we get the antibody test, the chosen strategy is to hope for the best

On PPE, the tories either lied about the availability, or they massively fucked up on delivering it

Either way, im not buying excuses

My first hand knowledge is of a nhs building that has currently received just two boxes of masks

Theres over 30 staff, so thats 3 each

I'd say staff, and assume anyone on their arse requiring hospital treatment has it

Maybe they need suits, instead of masks

and a good scrub down at the end of their shift

Dunno

Whatever works best to avoid carers having to take two weeks off

No I think she nailed it tbh. Thick fuckers

guy in asda this morning was that covered up he looked like he was geared up for a raping spree or summat. Unrecognizable with all the layers and hood up scarf gloves the lot. Then he seen his pal down the bread aisle and proceeded to unwrap himself Remove the hood and pull the scarf down off his and shake hands with his pal and commence a chat from a distance of about 3 feet.

If you dont test patients, you dont know how to treat them

And constantly testing health workers isnt practical

But, providing PPE is

Unless they were bullshitting us

Only danger with assuming someone has it, is that they would then be put in with those that definitely have, and could then catch it and croak when they might not otherwise.

I'm sure there is good medical reasoning for testing admissions first.

Anyway, BBC are tickering that Boris wants to be doing 100000 per day by then end of April. Now that is some going.

Its a massive uplift from where we are and i just dont believe they will do it

Even at 100k a day, and bearing in mind 50k, for example but likely more, will be negative, its still taking forever

A year or more

That figure includes antibody testing for those that may have had it

I am no fan of Boris and the boys but think they are doing a good job.

Of course with an operation of this size there will be things you can in retrospect think could have been done better. But got to judge the overall performance.

Nah. Thick. Saw one woman yesterday do her shopping that consisted of a garden Strimmer and 12 cans pull her gloves off to puff on her e-cig then put them back on again afterwards. I've tried explaining to people that wearing gloves to go shopping is a waste of time but they don't want to listen 🙄

If they where scared they wouldn't be in B n M bargains 6 days of the week buying shit.

So, what he saying, the expert, is that until youve been clear of the virus for around 28 days, the antibody test wont come back as positive??

We're being told it can be contacted from touching surfaces.

Can't blame folk for being wary of carrying a basket or pushing a trolley.

That said, it's the poor use/disposal that's the problem.

Once out of the store, they should be removed before getting back into the car and going home. Watching folk the other day, they arrived at the shop in them, then went home in them.

For a reliable result 28 days, you could get a Covid +Ve result sooner of course but for accuracy you need to wait 4 weeks after exposure

Either way, we need tens of millions of these things, test the arse out of everyone, once you have tested +VE of you go back out into the economy

Get the wheels turning again

The tests should more than pay for themselves

So the Government have now admitted that the death figures ONLY include people who were tested and died in hospital.

They do not include people who died in care homes or in their own homes, so what is the real figure and why do they not caveat figure reporting with this pertinent fact?

Comes across as massaging.
