Dont know if it's been on here but Danish government refusing tax relief to businesses based in tax havens is a move I can get behind. Felt sorry for the government theyve put in policy to help keep economy going and it's been taken advantage of.

for anyone who's interested - this is the feed from the NHS that shows the breakdown of daily deaths by NHS trust

you can see that around 50% of the numbers that feeds into Public health England for the daily deaths are at least 3 days old,  up to 6 days old in some cases.

doesn't look like we are plateauing around here - bolton, wigan,preston, chorley all still growing, maybe my NHS trust planner mate was correct in the peak being this Saturday for this area.

Add into that air conditioning and fans in rooms as it gets warmer.. Constant need to clean touch points etc, it's much too much risk. 

Problem is i can see primary schools opening before hand as there is the arguement that "I need to return to work", however this creates a problem. Do you invite back just the kids of those where both parents are working? What about the pupil premium kids who need the stability or SEN students.. Will it be compulsory, and if so what about parents at home that are at risk?

The antibody test would be ideal, but again how can that be managed when we don't even have them yet. 

The government is getting a lot of Grief atm and I wouldn't fancy their jobs. I'm applying for jobs at the moment and interviews will be done via zoom, educations been turned upside down and it's harder work than it should be. Schools are also thinking that there is much more time for other work now.

Was in the MEN that that Bolton is becoming the North West epicenter.

Part of that is down to there being a large percentage of minority groups and the cultural lifestyle they lead. I've been told that a lot of people currently at Bolton Hospital are from ethnic groups. Both neighbors on both sides have had visitors everyday staying for a few hours. There were 5 kids all the same age playing next door, 2 were their own. I have reported one side already but shouldn't have to and nothing will have come from it. It's a cultural thing and a general distrust of the government. How can you implement new rules when there are huge language barriers??

That combined with communal living (2 families next door, 1 has 2 kids the other has a new born meaning 5 people in a small ex council semi), I have been to some houses on the cleaning work with 16 people living in one house! Every room aside from the Kitchen and Backroom is a bedroom. This combined with communal eating and meal times, shared kitchen leads to cross contamination issues.  How can you isolate away when you have young keyworkers in the same house as older and more vulnerable people?

The mosques have closed so a large chunk of vital communication lines have been lost. 

Might come across as a racist post, it isn't, it's highlighting where there is a major issue due to a cultural difference. Most Asian (grouping together here) houses I've worked on are ultra clean and tidy, but it's the volume of people in them that will cause problems.

Simply won't work, logistical nightmare and still holds all the risks of kids passing from one to the other.

I reckon year 10 will be back in before September, maybe even just for key subjects (Maths English and Science)

Similar for year 5's who will be doing Sat's next year

Try getting anything shipped from the Far East to Europe, that weights more than 50kg, now that is a logistical nightmare 😀

 

DHL China have such a big backlog now, they reckon that if you book for them to collect something from a factory for airfreighting, then they might get to pick it up the first week of May

I'm getting to the point where I can understand the shirty replies..

Slating someone who is recovering having just been in intensive care, people asking why he's "hiding", calling for him to resign etc.

Meanwhile the opposition do nothing to help (Despite saying they would) and just snipe away. But at least SKS wrote a letter to a newspaper eh..

The usual reply will be "They're not there to help", true, but they need to and the leader stated he would.. he hasn't.

5 and 9 year old, a puppy, wife's school want her teaching lessons via video link, I'm setting lessons and replying to students, whilst making constant snacks (how do you fill a 5 year olds belly??) stopping fights, filling in job applications and getting email after email of "extra work you can do whilst not teaching"...

Least i can come on here and vent.. gotta go do a big shop shortly.. I've had lists emailed to me from various family members that are isolating.

We don't know how many people have died in the UK but we do know it's a lot higher than the "hospital deaths" figure, so claiming that those 4 countries have a higher death rate than us is illogical. Potentially we have the worst death rate in the world. Apart from San Marino obviously.

We also don't know for sure the total deaths in any other country, do we know for sure that other countries are counting all deaths, or just those in hospitals?  It's like some sort of grim Top Trumps
