and if the report is retracted, does that mean lockdown will be lifted? probably not

there's only two countries as far as I know who went into lockdown off the back of the report - UK and USA - also two of the slowest to go into lockdown, and the two with the most deaths

and what about all the other countries in lockdown, who's advice did they take?  or was it reactive to what was going on in the country at the time?

folk like this and conservative women need to stop and look at what is going on in the world - our lockdown is nothing compared to other countries, and we've got more deaths than all of them

are they saying lockdown isn't needed?  where do they think we'd be if we hadn't locked down - same deaths? less deaths?

don't get me wrong, this is exactly the sort of debate that's needed

but someone needs to put forward a plausible case for business as usual that doesn't involve lots of people dying

Vitamin D thing according to some studies. There is no definitive proof that Vit D is a factor in resisting Covid but a couple of studies have shown it's a serious possibility - and that would make sense in terms of BAME and old people have less resistance.

They use well known lockdown sceptics and NHS haters to substantiate their claims -for eample Karol Sikora, who is apparently the UK's "leading oncolgist"

Karol has been saying on a daily basis - "We need to end lockdown, the peak is over,  many people are going to die from undiagnosed  cancer, don't forget cancer patients, go to your Dr if you think you have cancer, there's a ticking cancer timebomb" 

Karol Sikora owns 5 private cancer treatment centres, - I wonder if he's seen some worrying drops in his revenue?  

He's been calling for the NHS to be privatised for years, he appeared in a Republican party avert attacking Obamacare, saying the NHS is shit in England. 

Imperial College took legal advice on ways to prevent Karol from suggesting he was previoulsy their "professor of oncology" 

He's a homeopathy proponent - he's a quack and a crank.

Think its end of June for essential workers, August for everyone else. Not confirmed dates these though it's very similar to the Irish plan that's been out for a while
