The government scientists seem unhappy with easing the lockdown.

in fact, that was barely disguised disgust I’d say

On the flip side the economists will have been having kittens when the furlough scheme was thought up and then modelled by them. It’s all about balance.

completely understand where @ZicoKelly is coming from. If my mum could get out the house I wouldn’t let her currently. Too frail and would wipe her out a dose of this. But on the flip side not seeing me or my brother is no life for her.

but I’m also really really mindful of the economy and what this could do. For the government and each of us it’s an impossible situation we have to do what we believe strikes the best balance which is what they are doing I believe.  Although many will argue it’s not.

Why are they not comparing the stats like for like in terms of when we came out of lockdown surely that would be a better comparison?

Probably. But some of those aren’t easing up at the rate we are.

Personally, I think we might being doing too much, too soon.

I agree, as does almost every impartial scientist I've seen on twitter. If they fuck it up, we'll have an extra 5 weeks trying to sort it out. Big risk. Cant understand why they haven't done it regionally where the R rate is definitely below 1. Could have done it a few weeks ago in some areas. Bristol for example

They've done regional in Italy, Spain and Germany, S Korea and China to some extent. Could police the roads in and out, big fines. Just seems crazy to me. If you know theres  a low risk area, fucking trial stuff there first.

Our local primary school is opening next week, with additional outdoor classrooms installed. The neighbours are not sending their kids back. 2 days a week for 4 or 5 weeks. They don’t think it’s worth the risk for 10 “teaching” days.

I'm a cynic, but hear me out

6 strong get togethers announced last night

From Monday so 3 days notice

Back to work, don't go to work, you get 12 hours notice

I know why I think it was announced last night

Also, we've got a couple round tonight, think there's 8 next door

Trying to cover over the fact that they are no longer following "the science", by allowing some sport..

I'm considering stopping working on my part time job from Wednesday, there is another spike coming judging off how many people are ignoring it, the parking at Crompton Lodges summed it up.. Soon as schools go back it will rocket again :(.

IN Thursday and then 15th of June, I'm in 3 days a week.

Doesn't this say everything.

We have had a very liberal lockdown, yet loads moan and won't stick to it.

Other nations (although not without some issues) had a more severe lockdown and stronger enforcement.

Just a great shame some of our lot can't see this but take the piss.

Had a lovely time in the garden today, kids in the pool having fun, a few ciders and a relax.

The missus had blood taken yesterday at work for the antibody test. Fingers crossed she had already had it and not known. Unlikely I suppose but you never know.

What's he said

Interested as the bozo lovers rated him

He described the lifting of restrictions as “dangerous”

He toed the line in the main, but it was clear he’s not happy.
