Hackney is higher than half of those boroughs at 25, yet no lockdown

And its not black hackney, either

Reading between the lines, it would appear very possible that its the jewish communities of stoke newington and stamfird hill that have a problem

hearing from family, they are pissed off with the current situation. Its odd as everything here is totally normal. Social distancing? Been out with mates and met folks in the pub, Borough is really busy as no one is going into town more than 2/3 days a week.

Our rates are low, but walk 5 minutes and I'm another Borough where its slightly higher.

There is no way you can do local lockdown in London. Whole place has to do it, and the gvt won't do that.

Pub in Breightmet has 15 cases.

1 is my nephew and his missus both of whom are describing it as “like every cold I’ve ever had in one massive hit plus the flu”

Pub is the Bottom Bull.

If you’ve been in of late, get tested.

Govt have just issued guidance to schools on how to stay safe

Its Friday and they're starting on Tuesday

Another msm type twist. Yawn.

Its guidance aimed at what happens in the event of increasing numbers, not what to do to stay safe in schools.

4 tiers all of which are easy to understand, and some of which they have already done previously.

Yes, earlier would have been better, but too early and the science could change hence the message.

What a surprise the see the union man moaning as usual.

Seeing the chair of the education select Committee put some balance to it all is refreshing. Thankfully he's often on, and a touch of common sense presented.

Nothing that has been published affects most schools immediately, except perhaps those in areas of extra lockdown.

It seems the big guns have overtaken us in the infections and deaths department, plus the UK are doing more tests per day.

But the MSM aren't gonna report that or any other positive statistics and facts about covid, however some on here will say there aren't no positives and continue to be ruled by fear.... created by the MSM.

The media are mostly sensationalist parasites. Everything you said plus they don't bother to put the death figures up anymore as they're now to low to be sensational.

They've totally lost site of their raison d'etre which is, of course, to report facts.

I know when they are supposed to back thanks.

Just wondering when they are actually going back, what with them telling all the kids to go back to school and people to get back in the office.

We’ll find on Tuesday if it’s Tuesday.

Bit strange casting doubt over your own spurious speculation.

If the cases go up a lot in the next few weeks, (which I'm 99.99% sure they will,  with a fifth of the population about to suddenly increase their exposure levels to some extent), the comparative level of rise in deaths is going to be down to how well the vulnerable in hospitals, care homes and the community are protected. Tracking and tracing and better hosputal treatment will help, but I fear it's going to be several weeks of "outbreak at school X" in the media

Why are you doubting they’ll go back?

if they don’t go back, then have a dig.

Just silly to have dig just in case they don’t go back

Certainly would get tested if been in since last Saturday, the lad who felt ill and got tested rang them among others to say he’s tested positive and was in there on Saturday , they’ve acted and seem to be the headline place due to that,  when the lad who rang them will have been in other places also between Saturday and feeling ill

hope your nephew is well soon

Certainly will, know locals getting positive tests back since this broke and who have been all over the local area before realising , it’s not just that though, there’ll be people who were in there on Sat, not get tested and will be in other pubs tonight due to the Bull being shut , some of who are in the “ it’s all bollox  can’t make me wear a mask” camp too
