I know folk who pap on about the MSM and get all their news from the fucking Daily Mail.

Knobheads

Generally as soon as someone feels the need to start rattling on about "MSM" it outs them as a fucking loon, who spends too much time on Twitter looking for conspiracies. They also think it makes them think that they're more informed about stuff than anybody else

I know when they are supposed to back thanks.

Just wondering when they are actually going back, what with them telling all the kids to go back to school and people to get back in the office.

Tuesday. As you know full well. Meeting covid secure requirements along with everyone else.

Those of us who use msm to garner information will be best placed to judge when their coverage is rational or when its sensational. Both occur, with a lot of the latter, sadly.

It’s the term MSM. It’s generally used to imply folk have access to non MSM and therefore the actual truth rather than what the MSM want us to know.

Just stop using the term. It’s fucking nonsense

I thought we shouldn't compare with other nations

And dont we have to wait before taking a view, anyway

South Korea were the pin up nation, but Seoul is running out of hospital beds.

So, you are right; need to wait for a place and time which will give us a wider view

Obviously, I don’t want my nephew to be ill, but it’s unlikely he’ll be anything other than grotty for a few days and will fully recover.

Likewise, the majority of the 20-somethings who have also tested positive.

On the Facebook feed I saw, all those who were at the Bull last weekend seem actually surprised at what’s happened, but are suddenly taking the threat seriously. This is what’s needed rather than lockdowns. If the younger types can behave as well as (most) over 40’s, then it will stay suppressed.

Beat comment on the thread, copied verbatim, is this one from one of the girls:

come.from bull.saturday night i know of 7 who got it from there all huggin each other pissed up n bing

Conservative woman bang on about it non stop, yet they have a section solely dedicated to BBC, and a lot of their articles are daily mail ones rehashed. They act like they've unplugged from the matrix, as they type their responses on their iPhones and Microsoft Windows laptops.

Seen a belter this morning from one of them types. Apparently the government are telling us all to wear masks and over playing the virus as a big distraction for letting paedophiles "everywhere" go undetected.

I worry for these types, it's mad.

It's spreading into some normal folks minds. Echo chambers on social media, and chat rooms are to blame.  I've had usually rational  members of my family, blokes on the sporting club board I'm on, spout conspiracies theyve picked up from somewhere. Usually to do with Bill Gates, vaccines and big Pharma, and even a bit of 5G.

Newspapers have always sensationalised stories, always will because it sells.

Social media and conspiracy theory website bullshit are different though, driven by rich twats with ulterior motives, usually power and money. Folk with an axe to grind - pick one from I don't like masks, lockdowns, muslims, lefties, black folk, vaccines,  teachers, the government, queuing up, are ripe for the picking.

I’m at the hospital.

My daughter had to have an emergency appendectomy last night and after several hours shitting bricks and being useless, am now sat with her as she recovers.

2 things:

1. The NHS staff are the best in the world. Honestly, they really are.

2. The staff say they’re still on high alert for an upswing in cases. But there’s not many in (is what they tell me). So I’m still thinking it’s lost it’s killer mojo.

Was in with suspected appendicitis myself a few years back. Doc called an ambulance from the surgery. Sent home the day after- called it recovering appendicitis. Some sort of infection and it went. Intravenous paracetamol is ace by the way!

Best wishes to mini spider too.

@peelyfeet Put some respect on the messiah's name

What a crank. He thinks the moon is a hologram created by the  shape shifting reptilian elite (the Royal family , and various rich Jewish  Americans) from the lower level of the 4th dimension, and theyre here to mine our precious metals. I bet he's doesn't mention that today.

I don't think there's any conspiracy going on, nobody is being lied to.

I just think everyone is being fucking soft and well over the top.

Coming from a society where you can't use stepladders on a building site, it's hardly surprising.

All about fear and people thinking the worst will happen. Why instead of preparing for the worst, let's not just deal with the worst when it probably doesn't happen.

How we ever won a war is beyond me.

Asked before; have we allowed ourselves to be conned?

I think history will show lockdowns to be a mistake
