Site Supporter Tonge moor green jacket Posted September 9, 2020 Site Supporter Share Posted September 9, 2020 BBC does cases and deaths every afternoon. Not sure the case curve is that useful now though, maybe percentage of positive tests might be more indicative.

Otherwise, tell us how many folk have cancer, AIDS, heart disease etc etc You can't catch cancer or heart disease down the pub though just by standing near someone AIDS depends on the pub I have for sometime wondered why deaths took a back seat to cases I think Reporting an increase in Cases is a reminder it's still here and potent and not going away If you say there's only 8 deaths today people think it's over and do what they want

We're going to be fucking about in and out of lockdown for 6 to 9 more months. It's going to be a mega shit show and there'll be low deaths and a fucked economy. Im not so sure I felt this lockdown was intended as a shot across the bows of pubs rather than the folk who go in them Why shouldnt i go for a few beers in manc with another couple over the weekend? Outside Is that legal, i honestly cant keep up

No. And therein lies the problem. If it’s ok for one it’s ok for everyone. In which case keep the pubs open in Bolton as otherwise it’s pointless and it’s just going to spread it to Manchester etc.

Why should a shop worker say anything when our own law enforcement don’t give a flying fuck. They’ve been like this since the start of the pandemic. Went on the website and checked the procedure. Didnt actually have one of the key indicator symptoms so didn't bother. Right as rain within a day. It seems some are playing the system a bit. Understandable though when you’ve got to stay in for 14 days after coming back from holidays. Mate’s lad was climbing the walls after 5 days so went and got tested. Got the all clear so started going out again. Not following the letter of the law but in his mind he wasn’t putting anybody at risk so got on with his life. Everyone knows when going into shops they should wear a mask but too many think it doesn't apply to them. That sort of attitude means we're gonna be stuck with this for a long time to come. It also means I can't go for a pint or even have a beer in a mate's garden for the foreseeable and that's what's really pissed me off. Site Supporter Spider Posted September 9, 2020 Site Supporter Share Posted September 9, 2020 Shops should say no mask no entry. All of them. But then you just get wankers saying they have asthma or some other made up affliction.
boogs
Finished my working day over Rochdale way and one of my mates works over there. Quick phone call and we met for a couple pints there before heading home. Probably against rules but sat outside, either end of a table. Don't feel I've done wrong. Spoke to my mate who lives in France and works in a bar. Says he doesn't have to do too much shouting at folk to play by the rules until late on. They have to wear masks in bars there unless sat at table. Difference is, he says the police are out in force checking, 180 euro fine for both offender and bar owner on first offence rising to 1000 euro for second. Too heavy handed or fair enough and what we should be doing??
ErnestTurnip
We had another one of the very special brand of pricks at work yesterday - refused to wear a mask, said he was entitled to come in the shop, said he was exempt, said we would lose a big customer, asked if were happy to throw money away, got told yes, put a mask on and came in and bought some stuff. Why not just put one on and save 10 minutes of aggro if you're going to do it in the end?
