Quite interesting to read that the Swedish public voluntarily took on distancing measures.

Could that be representative of a major difference (culturally) between our nations?

Perhaps a more pragmatic, but mutually respectful society as opposed to ours, which seems, in part at least, selfish, moaning, judgemental and dismissive amongst other descriptors.

That's just our good traits!!

A Bolton couple have been fined £1,000 each for failing to quarantine after returning from Spain.

Let's just hope there are no bad injuries and loads of VAR calls in the second half.

I reckon that the ref should be instructed that no matter what, the full time whilstle has to be blown by 21.59

As I have said previously, the Swedes and us Brits are poles apart when it comes to stuff like this. And that is poles not Poles. 😄

Until it runs out

interesting what Sturgeon said today

I've only seen a brief clip of her, and she mentioned something about financial impact. Dunno what was said fully.

More interested in Kate Green's comments which reflect what seems to be unofficial policy. Cunty.

Shadow education secretary Kate Green said Labour should not “let a good crisis go to waste”.

At her daily briefing, the first minister said: "If I had the ability to bring more financial firepower to mitigate the jobs and economic impact, I probably would have gone further on pubs."

Under normal circumstances, I'd have no problem, politics is a hard nosed game.

However, not now.

Not going to talk about it on this thread any more though, as she doesn't warrant it.

How’s that got anything to do with being a nationalist?

im far from her biggest fan but I’m not sure how saying she would prefer to close the pubs has anything to do with it? Unless I’m missing something?

Aye. Easiest time ever to be the leader of the opposition. Just keep saying how things are being done badly whilst not offering up alternatives.

Not saying Starmer's wrong with his criticisms, but if the shoe was on the other foot it'd be a piece of piece of piss for Johnson to do the same.

I Simply saw it as she wants to shut the pubs and support that sector which I would support also. Does that make me a socialist and a nationalist?

I wouldn’t have opened them again tbh as much riskier in some settings than all other businesses.

Don't be daft!

If I've misinterpreted her, then I will apologise to her. If I ever have the misfortune to meet her.
