The biggest problem is that a lot of those in the vulnerable groups are not Pensioners. They should isolate but at the same time many can't afford to isolate because they need to work to pay their Mortgage or Rent. It's catch 22.

To be clear if someone is deemed vulnerable and has to miss work they should be helped financially IMO.

I see they're having hissy fits in that there London for having to go into Tier 2 🙃

Funny and the Mayor moaning about it, after begging the Government to go to Tier 2. A loon driving London to oblivion

Yes

Think the first guy who had it was from Brighton, think he was the one who had been in the Alps Skiing that helped kick off the Italy situation

We made a fist of tracking and tracing it but we weren’t very good (much like other european countries with limited experience of this sort of thing)

I recall the first case being pinpointed to potentially a guy who'd been to Italy

I just don't recall any effort for people / places to give details before entering, nothing like it

They should be, but are they being helped, or helped enough ?

They know exactly the question thats coming

A decent PM would have been all over the znswer

Maybe if he had answered, id believe he had a clue of a way out of this

Instead, he couldnt be arsed

Hes not been moaning about it, no hissy fits here. Doesn't effect my life one jot.

I don’t know anyone who is complaining or having a hissy fit. Londoners just get on with it. It is what it is, quoting some bloke (can’t remember his name).

From what I read on this board, we’re behaving much better down here when in the shops and on public transport.

Maybe ask ones that aren't answered by a website?

Yeah, but if the questions are planned in advance, you can filter out the dross and answer the questions that are helpful, remember they are choosing which questions to answer

But

They would want those doing the conference to look good, so they're not going to allow questions which are awkward or can't be answered elsewhere

What needs to happen is someone says I'll ask this question, get on, then ask another

Remember reading one guy traveling from europe to new york was responsible for the massive spread there. Think he landed, went straight to some high flyers funeral with 100's of people there and then went to big jewish do the day after. Bet he felt a right cunt.

All that Chinese new year stuff seems lightyears away :(

Why the fuck didnt they close their borders. Terrorist cunts.

I wonder if they're on delay slightly; so they can't just jump up, pull a mooney, drop a cod and shout "this is you PM!"

Are they definitely already known about by the panel, even if they are preselected by production people?

Whatever the case, the questions just seem a bit pointless. The beeb does a question and answer session on the news channel from time to time, and it seems far more useful.

Dunno to be honest

I always remember a radio one phone in quiz competition

One where they took one or two calls a show till someone got it right

They clearly wanted to drag it out so screened questions before letting them on

Cept one bloke knew the answer but told them he was going to say something else

Was funny hearing zoe ball and that get flustered because they weren't expecting it but had to pretend to be congratulary

That's naughty; not a proper competition, more of a lottery.

Listening to the Jeremy Vine show yesterday lunchtime on the radio. They had some guy on who was an expert on the rules. A typical question went something like this.

‘I live in Bristol which is medium but I need to go to my sister’s house in Wales who have their own rules to collect a parcel that I’m going to deliver to my mother who lives in Liverpool who are on very high. On the way I will travel through Birmingham that is on high. Will I be breaking any rules?’

Jeremy Vine. ‘That’s all very confusing’

I’ve said before, I look at the rules that affect me, my family and my business. Too many people inventing Imaginary scenarios to undermine the message.

100 per fucking cent.

Avoid unnecessary contacts and make necessary ones as safe as possible. Not difficult.

I do believe it would be better to have proper travel restrictions on us in these higher areas though.

The correct answer was "tell your sister to send it directly to your mum and stop being deliberately obtuse"
