We are just having the one family round plus the FiL but he is in our childcare bubble anyway. No point in fucking it all up now.

Ah, but who are the other family also mixing with?

This is why it can't work.

They are only seeing us. It is the wife's sister and family and the BiL is recovering after chemo and radiotherapy so they are understandably being careful. The fact we have had Covid already is a bonus in a way.

Tons will just see who they want to anyway, it will be a free for all in some folks eyes.

Call at 5pm with the devolved leaders - its going to be stopped this christmas mixing.

I still find it bonkers that saunas can remain open but the National Gallery can't, Harrods is open but the Tate can't.

Its really badly managed given that museums and galleries have been running timed, covid-safe distancing and opening since they've been allowed to re-open.

That’s what I mean, my brother in law and his  mrs (36dd, crackin) wanna meet at the in-laws then after it they go to his Mrs in-laws and we go to my parents where other family members will meet

Im saying this can’t happen BIL is saying it’s fine no one will know. 🙄

To paraphrase Basil Fawlty I don’t know why we bother , we should just let you all die

How do you know saunas are open? Asking for a friend.

My concern would be, bearing in mind we are being governed by imbeciles, that a surgery will dish out their 900 plus, then we will run short before the second dose is due

I would love to say that I don’t think there’s any chance of this happening. But actually it wouldn’t surprised me at all.

and it was no way frustrating? if not, fair enough that you/they could take it on the chin

I know some, and in each case, it more than likely could've been avoided if it had been done properly from the beginning - the main issue being having no choice but to send covid free folk into hospital is basically a death sentence if they are in anyway vulnerable or have underlying conditions, but not that which mean they'd die soon anyway (which I suspect covers most of the dead)

My point was that there is little heard of relatives moaning after a death.

Remarkably little, unless all that is to come afterwards.

You mean it isn't reported? I guess people accept it because they have to. There's no cure available (or wasn't)

what in the news?  hardly worth it is it, everyone is in the same boat and ICUs are overloaded, and there still isn't a vaccine

but the way in which some cases have been handled is a disgrace - sending folks from care homes into hospitals without a test for example when it turns out they didn't have it in the first place

most of the ones I know who have lost someone are quite vocal when it comes to talking about the "crack on" mentality

and I reckon relatives of the excess deaths will have plenty to moan about if they couldn't get the care they needed to save their lives, if the shit show from our government is in anyway to blame

but no point in going to the papers with it

Are we going tier 2 then or what?

I’d quite like to make vague plans to be away from the house

Go with vague plans, but have a plan B, just in case.
