Dread to think what that said before it was edited.

i spelt "thus" as "this" and the nl-hcov thing had a million fonts in, because i cut and pasted it and forgot to "plain text" it first.

Just to make you all feel a little better , its a completely fuck up over here too, 20 million dose have been issued by only 2.1 million have been used, the Trump admin say they would have 20m vaccinated by the end of the year, they had better get a move on

I'm thanking my lucky stars I'm not in the states at the moment, if you haven't got money and in a daft state....

Looking at Twitter there seems to a be lot of ‘we delivered it to you so it’s your job now.’ Types of points being raised. If it is not coordinated can see many going to waste.

Twas on the news here as it's the one the Aussies are pinning hopes on.

Not often said this this year but felt a pang of patriotism for the motherland 🙂

Good news, but looks like it'll still be a while before we're anywhere near back to normal.

"In addition, while the UK government ordered 40m doses of the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine, it has ordered 100m doses of the Oxford/AstraZeneca jab, of which 4m are available straight away, and 40m expected by the end of March."

Just been on ITV news that hospitals in Essex and the South-East are being overwhelmed with some patients remaining in ambulances as they have no spare ICU capacity. The medical expert then said patients are going to be moved to the North where Intensive Care is available.

Also pleading with the general public to start locking down further, dismissing the myth that it’s an old-folk illness. Many 20s & 30 year olds on ventilators.

Train up the turnstile workers, open the stadiums to fans again and jab us on the way in. 😁

You may laugh but that’s probably nearer the truth than you think. I had my flu jab by a pharmacist last month. OK, not a complete medical novice but 5+ years ago intramuscular injections were very much done by doctors and nurses. I’m not sure about staff in a doctor’s practice and how many (if any) admin staff got trained to deliver flu jabs.

They are talking needing the 2nd jab 12 weeks after the first to complete the protection so based on that, 2/3 of the country should be done by Easter

How hard can it be? My mate's nipper has been giving herself insulin since she was 6. Is that a different kind of injection?

Exactly. So parents of an insulin dependent child would be trained too.

It's my idea of hell at the best of times - if the tosspot behaviour of others in other (necessary) places of retail like supermarkets is scaled up in large centres like The T.C. I'd probably end up doing a bare-handed killing spree within twenty minutes.
